i ordered lowering links, triple tree, and adjustable kick stand. Hopefully I'll get it this week sometime and install it. Any tips for the install??? What tools do i need? Keep in mind I've never done any work on bikes before therefore I will get help from a buddy that has been around bikes forever..hopefully everything goes smooth and I will snap pics as soon as its lowered.
Thanks guys

you will find a lot of threads on lowering if you use the search option.

It not brain surgery, but you have to know your skills.

You will need:
a Hydrolic Jack
a Ratchet
a Sockets
a Wrenches
allen keys
a Ruler
a second pair of hands
Some cold beer

i think the kickstand mod is just enough for stock hieght...?

i did the mod on my stock height ride and it's good. for a lowered bike...hmmm...i dunno.

So I'm still waiting for the triple tree and the kickstand to show up. The dealer told me to bring the bike back once I put 1000 miles on it so they can do their "thing" with it and oil change and whatever else they're doin. Should I wait till I break 1000 miles or just install the parts as soon as they come in? I wonder if they'll give me any BS if the bike is lowered? Cause the guy said if anything is installed by anyone BUT him that my warranty will be void

Hopefully others will chime in here too...your warranty should not be voided!  I've never let any dealership touch my bike for any routine maintenance and my dealer told me as long as I keep good records and receipts of the work like oil changes, spark plugs, etc the warranty is good...

Now, I never TESTED that theory, but my understanding is that ANY Suzuki shop can work on your bike and it's covered, AND you can work on your bike, keep good records and receipts and it's covered...obvious reasons for a warranty to be voided would be adding turbos, major engine mods, etc...

Lowering the bike does nothing to the motor or tranny, so I don't think it should matter, but others may have different experiences there...I did have a local Ducati shop lower my Busa and I can't imagine it voiding my warranty unless I went to Suzuki complaining of something messed up due to lowering...again, need others to chime in...

The reason why im concerned is because last week I called there asking what bulb the bike takes and they asked why and I said cause I wanted to install a HID kit and they said not to cause it'll void my warranty
