Jumping to conclusions

Over this past weekend I hurt my leg mountain biking and had to call off from work on Monday. 3 days of staying off of it and I still can't really walk on it. Went to work today and received countless questions about me wrecking my Busa along with statements like "thats why I don't ride crotch rockets". I still find it amazing how these bikes carry such a bad rep. After finding out it was a mountain biking accident, most people had nothing more to say and walked off. Seems like they were more interested in gloating over another sport bike wreck than me being injured. Anyone else feeling the "love"?

I had my knee repaired (soccer injury) had one by one, my neighbours came over to see if I was ok after my "bike accident"

Not that badly.... Most people just feel the need to the "I told ya so" stuff... Like when I got a speeding ticket a few months back the first words iout of everyones mouth was "Bet you were on the bike weren't you"... I was... but none the less I can speed in my car just as easily... Some people are just haters.

Yea when i blew out my knee on my dirt bike everyone asumed i wrecked on a street bike, once they found out it was in the dirt they left it alone, i think people just like to be able to re-enforce there stigma that street bike are evil

I had my busa parked for two years since I moved to texas and started this job...went to eureka springs last month took 5 days vacation..boss was telling me this an that dangerous blah blah...jinxed me the bastard...wore full leathers the whole trip, had a ton of fun met some awesome people, damn it, if I didnt get in a hurry(mavs game was about to start)off loading the bike and drop it from 3 feet straight onto my foot...what do you think the boss said?? and I was out for an additional week with a sick day here and a sick day there til it finally healed...boy he couldnt wait to tell me he told me so

I do other things that are inherently more dangerous than motorcycling. I just found it amusing that most peoples first reaction was to blame the bike.
