Hi
Just bought a 2nd hand PC for my 2000 bike as I fitted Delkevic Cans and its a bit fluffy low down in the rev range.

Is the best thing to tune it manually or use a pre map? I've never had a PC before to tips and guidance appreciated:thumbsup:

thanks
Paul

It has been suggested to me not to buy used PC, because how do you know it works? Since you already have it, maybe pre-map from members here will be your best bet. Hope all is well with it. Smart to get one with aftermarket cans. Maybe consider the Airbox Mod and K&N Air Filter, then tune it.

I completely disagree, you can save a bundle buying a used Power Commander. I just picked up one for my 1st Gen for $150 shipped to my door off eBay, will be doing the programming this weekend.

After doing research into what models are compatible with what bikes, I picked up a used PCIII off a 2006 VFR800 (6th Gen VTECH) for $170 to go on my non-vtech '99 VFR800, replaced the firmware with the most current and installed the closest map they had and the difference it made to the bike is incredible, power is MUCH smoother and the bike is just easier to ride. Plus the new "accelerator pump" (?) feature adds a nice kick in the pants when you want it. Can't wait to see what the "accelerator pump" feature does on the busa.

OK fitted the commander and tried the Jardine 304/302 map as I have the delkevic cans and theres not a map for these cans. Problem I am having is that low down its very fluffy and has lost the smooth power band. The map hasnt had much effect.

Any ideas whether the low down fluffyness is due to it being lean?
