There is so much negativity rolling around our country, our communities and I'm even seeing some snippy comments here on the site.

There is a lot going on for sure and it's really easy to get caught up beginning to posture and prepare for battle even when surrounded by friends or people they have known for years.

Take away the politics of everything going on, break down who we are to the fundamental core of our this site and our friendships and take a deep breath and be vulnerable, its okay.

We are BOMBARDED with negativity from news outlets, social media and our the conversations with others and to top it off we have been isolated and in many ways lost that interpersonal communication and face to face contact.

So.... that is where I think we are, with that said.

Can you name one thing, just one thing that you are grateful for right now in your life?

I have a list a mile long, I spend a lot of time focusing on the good in my life and not looking at what is affecting me.

1. My family is close
2. I am spending so much time building better relationships with my youngest son
3. We are healthy
4. The isolation is testing my resolve, not just can I survive but how will I thrive and lead my family though it.
5. This has really provided opportunities for me to help folks struggling with food etc in my community. RE-ENGAGED
6. I am still working and employed

I could go on and on..... How about you? What is good in your life, do an inventory!

  • Wife and I are healthy so far
  • Wife gets to work from home
  • I am retired so we are ok for now.
  • I get to ride my bikes between all the rain. It really does lift my spirits.
  • Other than that we go out as little as possible since we are both over 60.

I would be even more thankful/happy if I could figure out how to do that bold dot thingy pictured above. It's very eye-catching. 'Course I would abuse it,use it in all my posts and wear it out as I always do.
But,I'm thankful that my OCD is getting better.
Re: OP original question. Turbo Hayabusa...
It's not running perfect...but still running. Sounds lame, but it takes my attention away from the krappy stuff in my life. That, and helping people as best I can.
Rubb.

Anything to make you happy! It also might help us make sense of your posts :poke:

There's an ancient drill-down thought experiment about 'what you see in a chocolate chip cookie'.

Of course you see the grain, the chips of chocolate, the dough, etc., etc., but also the sunshine & the water needed to raise the grain, the person who mixes the ingredients into dough, the person who bakes (or controls the baking of) the cookies, the vehicle that transports the baked cookies to the store - and its driver.

With that in mind, I think of all the hands involved in constructing and producing the Hayabusa I ride, all of them in some small way contributing to the pleasure I derive from riding this work of art. So in saying I am grateful for the Hayabusa, I am also saying how grateful I am for the countless hands contributing to its creation.

Makes me feel connected.

I'm still thankful that my life got a jumpstart 2 years ago and it's still kicking. Full speed ahead??? ..well that might be exaggerating a bit but compared to where it was??? BIG improvement. I can pay my child suport, kid's medical bills and I even have money left over (because I myself live like a poor college student ) . I never really had that before except for the living like a poor college student part. A poor college student without any college babes but definitely one great busa!
