My 04 1k will walk most Busa's from a second gear roll!!

05-06 even faster..071k Fogetabout it..Busa bye bye!!

trust Me I own both and just got back from beatin up on a Buddie 06 Busa with 2 intake cams ect!!

Not bashing the almighty king or you..just telling like it is..

Knowing what Suzuki did to get the power gain on the 2007 GSXR1000 , my son went and bought a new 2006 1k in the crate . We named it SloPoke

The cams we need are on back order so with the exhaust parts we chose he's "hobbling" around with just 173 or so RWHP for the time .

This winter we will do some of the very near "proprietary" engine massaging the AMA engines get and hopefully then , the bike will get out of it's own way  

since the team bikes bust the 200hp mark .

Not many normally aspirated bikes stand a chance against a 2005 up GSXR1000 with a warmed up engine out on the road and those Ten Kate CBR1000RR streeters would be  simply unruly for the displacement .

I might build one of those some day for the right guy .

Just wanted to ad .

It might just be the new Yamaha R1 with the 4 valve head will finally be a force to reckon with after some engine work .

I would not rule them out anyway

04 and newer r1s will walk a stock busa. Been there , saw the rear fender. sj

walk a busa all the way up to the limiter? Or just to 120-140 and then start to fall behind?

LOL-- what he said. up to 120-130 has been my experience. big difference between quick and fast, kinda like 1000 and 1300!

No not to the limiter..My giggy can go probably 185mph at best..but just talking about a street roll on half mile or so..

We all know a 1300 or 1400 will be fast up top!!

Congrats on the Kill, no doubt. But did you HAVE to DS all the way to 2nd in order to get some close-in power/speed?? I'd figure 4th at the very least 3rd would be enough. or am i just an amateur at this??
