Is there any news less shocking than Rikkie Valerie Kollé winning Miss Universe Netherlands? Just knowing a transvestite was in the field is all we needed to know to predict the winner. According to Pageant Circle:
Rikkie Valerie Kollé was crowned Miss Nederland 2023 (Miss Universe Netherlands 2023) on Saturday, July 8 at the AFAS Theater in Leusden.

The 22-year-old Dutch-Moluccan model and actress living in Breda succeeds Ona Moody and will now prepare to represent the Netherlands at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador.

The news here isnt that a transvestite won. Its that this is so commonplace now, the fact that he was transgender didnt even get mentioned until paragraph five. The next big pageant news we will see in the future is when a trans contestant DOESNT win.
 
The pendulum has swung to the far left and it might never swing back fully...

If I were a biological female competing in these events, I would be absolutely livid.....this sort of thing pushes women's rights back years and years...

I read somewhere where a panelist said "it's strange that feminists and women's rights advocates are being dominated by biological males playing female, and seem to be oblivious." This was in reference to women's sports but this event is the same.

I'd imagine in the future, one's birth gender will be taken into effect when people enter these contests...
 
I've always felt that beauty pagents are mysogynous in themselves, but people feel differently and continue to compete in them., so screw my opinion and I don't say that facetiously. I 100% agree that trans men should not compete with females in physically exerting sports such as tennis, basketball, soccer, swimming, track, cycling etc, but I don't see what advantage a trans person has in a beauty pagent. I guess we could adopt a rule of no competition of any kind but to me it seems a little draconian. Again, that's only me.

I agree and am kind of surprised such beauty contests have survived so long with the positive body image push from years ago...

But it has survived and biological females should be completely up in arms to have a biological male compete against them. This sort of contest like all things should be restricted to birth gender only....if you were born a biological male, you are ineligible to compete in any biological female events.....period, with zero discussion.....
 
Beauty is in the eye of the viewer and they all look good based on how we see the female form from a Man's perspective.

How they carry themselves, how they speak, how they listen and other aspects of who we are is really what the pageant use to be about.

Maybe it still is... I wasn't there to see the comparison between the contestants. It should never be about how you appear when cross dressing.
 
If every real woman refused to compete in these events there’d only be one participant.
They can stop this madness by not even attending.

Don't be so sure. You are watching the war the left declared being played out. It was on this very board that it was suggested by some of our left leaning members here that they were going to wage war with their checkbooks. That appears to be the weapon of choice for both sides now.

You are witnessing the swing. Anheuser Busch may never recover from it. Target could go the same way. Disney is at war now in Fla. Laying off thousands now.

The left boycotts Chik Fil-A for their "Christian" values, and the Right lines up to patronize Chik-Fil-A. And won't set foot in a Target store.

The SCOTUS for 40 years has leaned liberal. Now the liberals are whining like babies because the pendulum has begun to swing the other direction.

So spend up you chumps.

Women are just tools the left uses. Women started bioitching at the left when the Me2 movement was weaponized. They were silenced rapidly. It has nothing to do with letting women speak up.

Everyone is so worried about violating the rights of transgenders that they are violating the rights of the non-transgenders with no impunity at all.....

Transgenders who are a miniscule percentage of the population seem to have a very large voice.
 
Riley Gaines has shown herself to be a fighter, and not a quitter, and she's been against this since it started.
A big organization(forget their name) started supporting her last week too...she is making a big difference.

Now more and more ladies in other sports are speaking out........and what is surprising is some of the "woke" feminists are supporting them-saying things like trans-women are women....which is completely false, they are biological men.

Hopefully more and more corporations get on the side of ladies like Riley Gaines......and if there is to be a trans competitive class than so be it, let them compete against their own....
