Kawasaki EV bike with 4 speed manual

EV bikes might be more viable than EV cars due to the fact bikes don't normally have to contend with being ridden in the cold and having all the electrical drain of a car (heater, A/C, etc).

If they can get the price decent and charging quicker, EV bikes will gain in popularity. Will they bump out gasoline bikes?? Not in the near future I figure because most of the people who are buying bikes are older and like (are used to) gasoline powered bikes.

I was caught by surprise by the speed of an e-bicycle in traffic the other day. I need to "recalibrate" my expectations for pedal bikes in metro traffic.

I do think some of the cyclist take advantage of the situation by shifting between bicycle and auto designated lanes. I had an e-bicycle go by me with 20 mph to spare while I was pedaling on a cycling path the other day. Scared me.

When I was visiting my son, we followed an e-scooter which had pedals however they seemed to be useless......this scooter and it's large rider rode in the live lane until it wasn't convenient then slipped on the side walk for a distance until it got back on a live lane.....

Somehow the government needs to close the legal loopholes on these things and get them declared a vehicle before people start getting killed on them.....

Hi. I hate scooters a lot of riders ride in the middle of the road. On a 45 MPH road they go 30 to 42 MPH and do not move over.

scooters lol, I remember once I was in Canungra, a small town 60km over the hills from the Gold Coast chatting with some riders at a pie shop when what looked like a hippy scooter came down the hill. The nearest civilized city suburb was the township of Nerang, GC. I said what's that? They said, "that's a Nerangitang" :D Thankfully where I live we're too far from the city and they never come out. Reason 1,252 for moving rural.

regen is a marketing myth, it adds FA to the battery.
What is FA? I'd say that regenerative braking is a smart thing. Not only does it put charge back into the batteries, it also doesn't wear out brake pads. Even cordless power tools use regenerative braking to capture energy from the spinning motors to help put charge back into the batteries.
