Kevtec, R-1 vs Busa?

To SLAM: How was wheelie contest determined? Was it duration, style, altitude, etc.? If you like doing wheelies, you'll have a good time with Busa. I don't deliberately do them, myself, but had some long ones at the 1/4 mi. track. Lost one race due to front end elevation. So I just enjoyed the ride, and milked it a bit. Was clocked @ 99 mph @ 1/8 mile, carried it a bit further, got all of 2nd to redline. 11.06 et in quarter. My girlfreind was all pissed, cause she thought I was going to dump it. Steering dampner comes in handy, if you set it down at speed. Much fun!!

Although I've only put 65 miles on my Busa, the R1 still gets the nod. I pulls power wheelies from third gear at 95 mph. with no clutch (Thanks to the 41's and Ram air) and
absolutely crushes stock Busas in roll ons. The Busa feels like a two wheeled truck and looks ugly, but with 190 hp. I'll learn to like it...

To GSX1360R: RE: Roll Ons: It's all relative. Gearing is about 25 % taller on Busa. Try comparison with matching rpm. I think equivalent would be 4th gear Busa vs. 6th gear R-1. ..................... ...On power wheelies, Busa in 2nd gear, would be faster than R-1 in 3rd. Have had front end 3' off ground, well over century mark, and was clocked @ 99 mph, in 1/8th mi. Have got a bit of air time speed shifting into 3rd, sitting upright (not crouched, as in racing). I weigh 220, suited. Own both R-1, and Busa.

Thanks, maui! Everyone's comments were very helpful. I now have a new Red and Grey Hayabusa! I'll miss my R1, but the Hayabusa will more than make up for it. :^)
