He DOES indeed owe you guys...he admits to this fact...I've got a 900rr Michelle can borrow....... I might just have to ride on back unless I got a Busa by then.......
now, this "Twisties Road King Wreck" you speak of...... I don't think I know of the events of which you speak.........
also, between GMbusa and I, we got PLENTY of duct-tape. I'm sure Mike would help, he owes me for helping with something....... I just can't remember....... I know it had to do with a Honda tool kit, Martins Suzuki tool kit, and a Harley......
lol
lol! I'm glad it was cheaper to fix than I thought it would be. I figured $5000-ish with it being a Hardly and all.He DOES indeed owe you guys...he admits to this fact...I've got a 900rr Michelle can borrow....... I might just have to ride on back unless I got a Busa by then.......

Now, about that incident you don't recall...just last night, around 7 p.m., Mike put the final touches on the Road King in question...it's officially back to brand new (that's Oct 16th - Dec 19th to order parts and get 'em put back on)
...the guy that owns it just came home from St. Kitts late last night and is riding it as I type...I'm certain he's had climate shock somewhere around Richmond...
I will do my best to NOT rub in the 'chromed' plastic pieces I discovered on the HD, as well as not reminding him that 'Jap crap' tools fixed old Moby D...
+1P.S. Get him on a busa! (or atleast the M109)
dayum, sorry to hear that 2005 hasnt been a good one, but 2006 is right around the corner and *WILL* be a better year for everyoneOkay, okay...I should probably have the Busa back by then...but, you just never know, right?
Mike's still got his 1200, but he is very much not happy with it (no kidding, right?!) He says it's too small...he's been tossing around bikes like the new Suzuki M109 (can you believe it?!) and the Victory bikes (8-Ball and Vegas)...he's sick of the high priced Harleys just as I am, BUT, its Harley he truly wants...so, he's been looking on eBay a lot, riding his bud's Road King...he's just unsettled unlike ME who is completely happy and satisfied with the old Busa...Yeah, I rub it in routinely...
As for the string of bad luck with Mike's driving? Well Brian, 2005 has been a horrible year for our entire family...we've always joked about the "-insert my last name- fugg me factor" and it seems it came full force this year...if it's going to go wrong, it'll go wrong for US...
2006 has GOT to be better, but I'd best not tempt fate and hop on another's ride on roads like the Dragon boasts...unless, of course, you guys don't want me to make it back in one piece?!
Just a cool $3500 quoted for all the parts and labor...lol! I'm glad it was cheaper to fix than I thought it would be. You promise?!...dayum, sorry to hear that 2005 hasnt been a good one, but 2006 is right around the corner and *WILL* be a better year for everyone
Here's a promise... come to the gap, ride with me and you will make it home safe and sound. All the talk about how "wicked crazy" the roads are is true at times... however if you simply ride the roads, you will be 110% fine. Its when you get out there showin your buttocks and trying to "race" on the roads that shid happens.
Both of ya should come down, the sporty will be better here than the road king, so come on out, have a blast and enjoy the area... cuz its fuggin beautiful there
you weren't THAT bad in the twisties.......... for a girlYou promise?!...dayum, sorry to hear that 2005 hasnt been a good one, but 2006 is right around the corner and *WILL* be a better year for everyone

I honestly don't mind saying I am nervous...ask Ben, or any of the other guys on that run...I truly suck in the twisties...I just froze right up! Looking back, I blame it on the fact that I hadn't ridden in months with the back surgery, but I don't know Brian...I was pretty bad at 'em!
I'm a believer in going straight! LOL
My thoughts exactly. Both of ya should come down, the sporty will be better here than the road king, so come on out, have a blast and enjoy the area... cuz its fuggin beautiful there
I'm sure Paul (GMbusa) could teach you. The first time I rode the twisties (Fall group ride), he was in the lead pack (I think about third position) with an extended swingarm and lowered!!!!!! I, on the other hand, was barely hanging with a harley. I was, however, ahead of Michelle! lolWe don't have <s>many</s> any canyons here on Long Island to carve so I may be a <s>tad, wee-bit,kinda,somewhat,</s>holy crap nervous too. I don't care if I have to stop at every corner and pick my bike up to turn it around for the next corner. I'm going and I'm gonna have a great time. I am hoping someone familiar will guide me through the lines of the dragon at least once each way. I plan on leaving my "man card" in the motel room until nighttime when I can talk smack about how fast I went during the day.
Besides, I am beginning to think we may need a moderator there who can keep the hooligans in check. Now, we all know that only "Da Blonde" is capable of a task of such magnitude!
Oh, oh, oh...you went there!!!!! For a girl?! Aaaaahhhhh....you weren't THAT bad in the twisties.......... for a girlYou promise?!...dayum, sorry to hear that 2005 hasnt been a good one, but 2006 is right around the corner and *WILL* be a better year for everyone

All the more reason for hubby to come and show us how to ride that road.........Please, inform those "non-believers" around here (Revlis) that he can ride his azz off in the twisties on the old HD...Well, 'til a Camaro takes him out...
