HEY ALL,
GET THIS.  I AM TRYING TO INSURE MY BUSA BUT HAVE HIT A PRETTY HIGH HURDLE.  EARLIER THIS YEAR I LOOKED AROUND AND WERE GETTING QUOTES OF $3700 A YEAR.  WELL I THOUGHT THIS WAS A LITTLE TOO STEEP SO I WAITED TILL NOW TO LOOK AGAIN.  I JUST GOT A QUOTE FROM PROGRESSIVE AND GET THIS THEY ARE SAYING IT WILL NOW BE <span style='color:red'>$11,469 PER YEAR</span>.  IS THAT NOT CRAZY AS HELL.  FOR GIGGLES I LOOKED UP TO SEE WHAT KIND OF INSURANCE A 16 YEAR OLD WOULD PAY ON A NEW VIPER AND IT WAS CHEAPER THAN THE QUOTE I GOT ON THE BUSA. WELL IF I DON'T FIND CHEAPER INSURANCE TO ABOUT $1,000 PER YEAR <span style='color:red'>I WILL HAVE TO SELL THE BUSA</span>.   SO PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH ANY ADVICE YOU MAY HAVE.  THANKS.

I AM 21 WITH NO TICKETS OR WRECKS AND AM IN THE MARIETTA GA AREA.
 
That rate is not correct. even if you were 16. High but not that high. Maybe you punched in something different?

I WISH THERE WAS A MISTAKE BUT THERE ISNT.  I DID THE QUOTE TWICE AND EVEN CALLED PROGRESSIVE TO VERIFY IT.  SHE, THE LADY AT PROGRESSIVE, SAID THAT IT COULD POSSIBLY GET DOWN TO $9,600 PER YEAR.  SO THERE IS NO MISTAKE.  I DONT KNOW IF IT IS THE AREA I AM IN OR WHAT BUT THAT QUOTE IS OBSCENELY LUDACROUS.

Mother F*^# Progressive, they are a cruisers best friend maybe but they quoted me like $3800 a year...BS...

Check State Farm...You may have to insure a car also but should be good to go. Also, USAA if are military is usually a pretty good way to go... You'll be fine though. If you Credit is good, your driving record clean, you will get your baby insured easy enough...Don't panic yet Bro. Also Go and visit your Local State Farm guy/gal personally...it can make a real difference.
 
Go to State Farm. I pay 477 a year full coverage. My old insurance company that I was with for 18 years said 3200 a year. I took my cars and house to state farm.

YEAH THANKS FOR THE INFO SO FAR. KEEP IT COMING. THE KICKER ABOUT USAA IS THEY DONT CARRY THE INSURANCE. THEY PROVIDE IT BUT IT IS ACTUALLY PROGRESSIVE WHO IS THE COMPANY. I AM WAITING ON A RESPONSE BY STATE FARM. HOPEFULLY ALL WELL WORK OUT. I AM STILL OPEN FOR ANY OTHER COMPANIES YALL MAY KNOW ABOUT THAT WILL GIVE ME A GOOD DEAL. THANX

you had to of done something wrong....i got progressive insurance a while ago, i dont have it any more. anyway i went went to a local place that offers progressive...i didnt know it at the time but that cost more than calling PRO and getting it directly from them. im 24 yrs old, and my police record has 4 driving with suspended license, 4 speeding, 1 careless driving ticket, and i had 1 comp claim filed already. i dont need anyone to reply about my record...its hard to stay off the gas when you have a busa. :D anyway PRO wanted $6000 per year, WTF!!!, $900 per month for 6 months. i couldnt belive they gave me insurance to start with but damn, i could buy a used busa for that much money in a yr. anyway the point im trying to make is that there is no way yours could be $11000 if your 21, no tickets, and no wrecks.
 
Pro wanted $6900 from me per year, I am 27 with 1 ticket and no accidents in my whole life, I went with geico they are getting me for $1300 a year.

I got my 03 busa on 0ct 22 and got AAA to Insure my new bike. $100 deductible,Full coverage.I have 2 older cars with AAA too.I pay $577 per year for the Busa . I am 34 years old just got my riding license..I heard It goes down when you become 25.yrs old...good luck..chamalk
 
me too, progressive $3200 yr $1000 deductable, St. Farm $540 yr $250 deductable, gee who should I go with? even at 550 a yr average state farm is making a buck er two, progressive is missing the boat.......
 
23-years old, perfect record USAA $263 can't remember if that's 1-year or 6-months but it's $263! Either way it's nothing compared to some of you!

I don't know how you guys pay that CRAP?

Find out how to join USAA, that's seems to be your best bet as of right now. Also, where did you hear Progressive provides INSURANCE for USAA?:super:?
 
Farm Bureau...$660 per year $100 comp $100 collision...Going in to have the deductibles raised should lower the premium...Shat I ain't going to file a claim below a total loss...

$600 a year full coverage on my Busa with USAA, I been insured with them for over a year now, before that I was paying about $1000 a month with state farm
 
Do you have any family members that work for General Motors? I pay 389yr through GMAC insurance.

33 yrs old, 1 ticket in last 5 years, full coverage, $500 deduct (I won't file a claim less than major damage or total loss - higher deduct keeps the price lowest), around $400/yr at State Farm.
 
I had insurance with prothievesgressive also had to cancel it for the winter and we will pick someone new up next year. It was about 1,000 per year. After Sept 11th it went up to 2,200 a year. I considered selling the busa but I think I will just buy another one to put beside it and go with liability if anything happens I will have another whole Busa. Insurance companies are thieves we didnt even get another ticket they just decided to change the way they quote and th single 2 year old ticket counted against us at that point. They promised it would go down after we renewed the policy and it did go down 18.00 big deal crooks and they made us renew it 1 month before the ticket came off. We cancelled I will find someone else with a better rate.
 
I have State Farm also. I pay around $350/yr, but I have my house, car and truck with them also. I'm 32, married with no violations.

Good Luck, the bike is worth keeping.
