Well I went ahead and purchased a near new 2019 DL1000XA V-Strom, 8000 miles, mint condition, included in the sale is a main/centre stand, a Givi Air Flow screen, and a Yoshimura slip on muffler. Also pannier racks and boxes but they’re used and a bit tatty so May not go ahead with those, I’m unsure at this stage.
It’s a joy to ride, the brakes and suspension are soooo much better than the 650 V Strom’s it’s night and day, oh and oodles of grunt to be had.
I’m loving it and will be touring more now, plus, I’m 65 in July this year and will cut my work hours back so I can get away more often overnite.
Here it is, I have a Busa in the garage so please don’t roast me lol.

Yes - love it. So many places to go now. Awesome and congrats :)
Can't wait to see pics of where you end up

And I noticed the switch gear looks a lot like a Gen3 - Does it have cruise?
Cheers mate!
I'll post up plenty of pics of her at cool spots and show my NZ countryside to y'all.
Sadly she does NOT have cruise control, I rode the later shape Strom for 800kms one weekend, and that does have c/c and it is awesome, never thought c/c is necessary on a bike but I was surprised at how good it is to use on long straights . . . not that we have many here lol.

That's a great bike to have next to a hayabusa. It's a bike to ride around the world with. Let that 65 come, time to enjoy real life. At 65 you earn this. Good luck and wish you beautiful mileages.
