Kiwi’s New Toy!

Oh my god ...
Probably has heated hand grips and cruise control
Lose the street tires
:poke:
Had I kept my Strom, I was gonna test out Tractionators
(and congrats, too)
Yup, heated grips, no cruise control, street tyres stay, I want to use it as a commuter (90kms a day) and touring once I retire soon.
Ok so whats on the mod list?
I'm picking up a Carbon R77 Yoshi slip on today, along with a main stand and a Give air flow screen, I'm looking at rear panniers and racks also.
There's a top of the line Nitron shock near new that the original owner has for sale, but he wants 900 bucks for it so I'll think on that one, the OEM shock on the bike currently has only 1500kms on it so it's working well.
I purchased the bike from the shop I work at on behalf of the owner, he bought it new, so I'm the second owner.
Just to clarify re the original owner,He had taken all the after market parts off prior to putting it on the show room floor for sale, and is now offering them for sale to me. I'm meeting him today to look over the parts and choose what I want.

Cheers mate!
I'll post up plenty of pics of her at cool spots and show my NZ countryside to y'all.
Sadly she does NOT have cruise control, I rode the later shape Strom for 800kms one weekend, and that does have c/c and it is awesome, never thought c/c is necessary on a bike but I was surprised at how good it is to use on long straights . . . not that we have many here lol.
I see a Rostra cruise in your near future. :poke:

Now. . . Let the mods begin!

Time to put the original fairings back on the 'ol Busa and find a spot in the living room for it.....

Once you get riding that new beastie, you will never want to go back to the Busa...
NOOOOOOOO……..
I’m getting a super bike bar and top yoke kit for the Busa, and I will carry on enjoying that gorgeous engine as much as possible.
I’ve spent years refreshing that bike and it will not sit idle, and I have no plans to sell it either… it’s basically a family member now and we have been through a lot together out on the road.
In July it will be 9 years of owning that old ‘99.

I was sorta hoping to see the first Turbo V-Strom, but somebody beat you to it!
No, I don't do turbo motorcycles . . . a bit too dangerous (power wise) for me.
Would be too easy to wheelie and flip over lol.
Also, setting up a fueling and ignition timing map would take ages, and I don't have the time for that.
unless there's one already available to purchase. . . . hmmmmm??

That looks great and would be my choice for long miles. I had a 2015 klr 650 but it wasn’t great on the highway. My friends Triumph Tiger 900 rally pro is perfect on the highway.

Yeah, it's a real mile muncher for sure . . best thing about it is the Suzuki reliability and longevity, fantastic bike, great engine (proven) and excellent brakes, suspension, chassis, it has ABS and traction control.
I just can not fault it.
