Kristie goes in for Surgery....

Dude, Christmas is a fun time and a good time, but sometimes life throws a wrench in our gears which we never expect.

A Buddy of mine is taking his Wife to her final resting place tomorrow. They were moving to Alberta and 20 mins from their new home, she wiped out on an icy road and got killed on impact.
My Girlfriends close friend, is putting her Son to rest today, at the age of 25 he lost the battle against cancer and passed monday.
My Cousin's wife was sent home on sunday as the Docs can't do anything for her, and she didn't wanna die in the Hospital, so she's gone any day now.

I pray for Kristie's surgery and hope all goes well, but don't forget to still be thankful, cuz you still have her.

Cap, MAKE SURE she follows her physical therapy instructions to the T. I had shoulder work done last Christmas, and I stuck with ALL of my exercises/stretches, etc and was back to work in less than a week. I've had friends do easier surgery who were out for weeks due to not doing their at-home PT. The Doctor told me I was a poster child for PT. He was happy, and so was I. It sucks since it hurts so bad, but make sure she keeps up on it. I didn't have any bone work, but there was tendons cut and reattached type stuff. I have what they call "tendonosis" which is like my tendons turning brittle like beef jerky. It still hurts, but is lightyears better than before the operation.

I hope you both do well, and prayers of course will be sent!

Sorry to hear this. Kristie will be in my prayers.
Hope all goes well and she recovers 100%

I'm sorry for your difficulities (and to all the other's losses expressed here). Doing the PT, even though painful, will give her the best resolution. Wishing you all the very best.

yeah, what skydivr said, my barber took a spill jumping a ramp on a bicycle, showing off for some kids  and screwed his shoulder up, ending up with surgery just like your wife’s, said the PT helped him greatly. Wish you guys the best!

I went through similar surgery with ScooterGirl a couple years back when she has rotator cuff surgery. The surgery took less than an hour ($12,000) but the recovery was long and painful. She slept in my recliner for the first 10 days and it took months to get full use of her arm. However, she fully recovered and her arm is as good as new.

My point is, modern medicine can do amazing things so I wouldn't dwell on the possiblity of negative results. I'm sure she will be fine and you will spoil her rotten with tender loving care during her recovery.

Give Kristie a big hug from all of us and let her know we will be thinking of her all the way!

Please keep us posted!

Ouch! Prayers for a smooth surgery and a full recovery. Like others have said if she does all of her PT she should be good as new. I believe she will have better odds than 95%. She has prayer on her side and a strong faith.

Oh no... She must've taken a pretty bad spill. Prayers sent for a quick recovery!

Prayers sent for a speedy recovery Cap, Hope everything else is well. Have a Wonderful Christmas...
