Could you lower yourselves to cope with someone on an old, moldy GS1100E? (It's actually a pretty nice old GS1100E). That would be a good Saturday ride. The Busa is most likely still a few months off.

Mr. Bear-
Of course. Since no one has shown up yet its a little early to be discriminatory.
This is not a "bike hangout" FZ600's, a KawGPZ 1000 and my ducati are all
"regulars"
Your GS would put you near the top of the food chain. Somewhere under the
bussa'. Even a turbo 750 seca comes in once in a while.

Hey Ducmanic, I live in Los Feliz area, near Hollywood. This site was down al weekend so I couldnt read your post. I love riding down Melrose, if you wanna do it again this weekend, I'm there !! :)

God you LA guys piss me.

I used to go down to LA all the time, 3 times a year for weeks at a time for 5 years in the early 80s to shoot commercials for Ford in Griffith Park and environs.

In the middle of the Canadian winter.

Rent a big Kawi and bash out to the Mojave, avoiding Palm Springs like the clap.

When you say words like La Brea and Melrose, it sure gets me going.

Very warm memories.

You got it good.

Lets meet at Stir Crazy on Melrose one block east of La Brea on Saurdayt afernoon. I might be awake by then. 2:00-3:00pm. I can see it now- a new "bad" bike hangout for the non Johnny Rocket's pouser's. E-mail me for my phone.

Hey do you guys still ride up to the Rock Store or how about Azuza Canyon and Turnbull Canyon? I used to ride them alot back in the 70's and had a great time. Not to mention cruzin Van Nuys, Tweedy Blvd. and Whittier Blvd. That's when I was young and senseless. Now I'm old and sensless, I kinda miss that So. California area, haven't been there in 20 years. I heard it's changed a bit. Is it still about to fall off in the ocean? :)

Hey next time you are at Disneyland check out the hooters on Snow White, WooWoo.

Ducmanic, I work on Saturday mornings :( oh well, it helped me buy the 'Busa :) I'm usually off by 1:30, so 2:30 pm is ok. Look for a copper/silver 'busa. I'll e-mail you.

The road up Azusa canyon is out (I think...). I'll meet you guys Sunday after next (I'm out of town all this week). I'll drive my crusty ass from Victorville and meet you guys and have a coke or whatever! We can see who cleans their Busa more!

You guys from LA make me sick!!!

Up here in Canada I park my bike at the end of Sept. and it doesn't come out until April 1. I still have days where I freeze my butt off on a regular basis. You guys have it so good in CA. Next summer a buddy and I are planning a ride to LA for a couple weeks, maybe we can hook up with some of you guys. But until then I will have to freeze my butt of over the winter and settle for watching Melrose place instead of actually driving down it.

Jealous and Cold in Canada

Easyrider, you know the half of it. All week long we had been in the low 80's (F)with cool mornings. On weekends all that stretch of Melrose is filled with beautiful girls, and some actors like to hang out with their Harleys. You just sit with a cold drink, and your dark glasses and have fun.

Let us know when you come next summer, I will be here.

Easyrider, I grew up in Seattle and went to school at WWU in Bellingham. You know what I miss about that place? The Vancouver Marathon, hockey, and Kokanee beer...that's about it. Not the weather, that's for sure. Life is good in Southern Cal!!

LA ORG Members-
Lets meet for a Bussa' chat on Saturday
Sept. 18 at 2:00-3:00pm at "Stir Crazy" on Melrose, one block east of La Brea. 6917 Melrose Ave. This is not the "Pouser" hangout. That is Johnny Rockets down the street on Gardener and Melrose. Maybe we can
make this a regular thing. I will bring the "Hayabusa Mook" from Japan. If anyone reads Japanese thats a plus. Post or E-Mail me if you have any ideas-

We just had our first LA ORG. meeting.
Motoboy, Waltman, myself, and GixerBoy all showed up to talk about bikes, look at the "Mook" and meet each other. No one's laughing at the ZX-12 in LA. We have pictures of us on our bikes. The Bussa's all seem problem free.
We all are waiting for the Sept 29 Drag Bike com. Release info-

It was nice meeting you guys. I will bring my video/still digital camera next time and take some movies/stills to e-mail to whoever wants to see the L.A. dudes having fun during winter time.

Ducmanic, after we met, I went to J Town (Little Tokyo) and went to the KINOKUNIYA book store, and ordered the Hayabusa "Mook", it will take at least 3 weeks wait.
