2.  My friend from Chicago is more than likely going to Laguna. If he ships his bike to Portland, it will all be good. But he is working on a hook-up that would allow him to ship his bike to Oakland for $100 round trip. If he does that, i will need to hook up with him in Oakland.

What kind of hook-up is your friend conjuring? Is it a hook-up just for him or can anybody get in on it? I wouldn't mind shipping my bike there and back if the price is right.

I may just have to try to work something out with you on getting your bike shipped. Check this out. If you can somehow get your bike to Lake Charles, I would be more than happy to trailer it to Cali for ya. Now, the hitch is that I'm leaving Saturday night (July 5th) and want to arrive in Cali by Tuesday (Jul. 8th). I'm going to have a one night stay in Arizona with a friend of mine and the rest will be a constant roll. I'm leaving Cali on the 14th or 15th to return home. Should be home by the 17th. I can store your bike for ya until you can pick it up or we can make arrangements (gas money) and I could bring your bike to New Orleans on my first day off. I know that this is a little unorthodox, but just consider it. I'll haul your bike for free. I mean, come on, why would I charge you for bringing your bike somewhere that I am already going? I could see if it was an animal where I had to walk it and feed it. Think about it. It is an option.

For anyone that doesn't have an enclosed trailer I will have one big enough to lock up a couple of bikes overnight.  I am staying at the Goodnite Inn in Salinas.  I will be there from 7/10-7/14
