Thanks for all the comments and advice guys!
After laying my bike down last season some parts that could be salvaged had to be repainted anyway so decided to do the whole bike. I'm really happy with how it turned out and the semi-gloss finish really shows the sexy lines on the bike. We havn't had too much sun lately but on the next sunny day I'll take a much better pic for you guys. Thanks again!

Great idea and very clean looking. It is nice to see a paint job that is clean like that. Hope to see more pics and more people doing that type of idea after all like that car the busa is in it's own catagory.

Paint code is PPG 224009 not sure about which brand paint it was. My body shop guy told me its quite a difficult application since this colour is waterbased. Not quite sure what that means when it comes to painting but the paint is holding up quite well and did not scratch at all when I assembled the bike back together.

Nice, I googled it and from what I gathered it is a 3 stage paint application. I know nothing about paint but it sounds expensive. It must be if they put it on Lambos

LOL ya bro i heard its a 20grand option to get your LP540 sprayed this way. To actually buy all the materials ran my shop guy $800 and $400 for labor. Not bad at all I think!

not bad. thats about what im gonna have tied up in my lambo yellow, when i get it redone.

first time through i bought just the tri coat and it was about 400.
