Laminar Lip

I have one.. Live by it.. NO wind in the face under 100mph.. Very useful for the cruiser in you and the Busa.. Not something you wantto keep on when Drag racing though.. I love mine.. I drilled an extra hole in mine to put an extra set of screws in for stability.. When you open it up, there is a little movement when over 140..

Sorry to interupt, the stability you're referring to, is that the stability of the laminar lip, or the stability of the bike overall?

Does it not cause general stability problems at high speed?

Thanks

I've taken it up to 170 indicated, the lip will flatten out and you do need to ensure you use extra of the hold down tabs that they provide. I had to get extra and they sent them for free.

It does not deflect until after 130 or so.

Do you have anymore shots of the Laminar deflector, SHWELL ?

Thanks
TY

I'll get there.... Daym. I've got the camera in my backpack and will be stopping alog the coast on the way home tomorrow for some pictures.

Get the molasses out of your azz, Playa, its only been two days ago. I dont need any fancy background pictures with the Laminar lip

The flex is the lip changing shape slightly, but it is enough to bother me, so I added some screws through a set of the velcro tabs..
here are a few more Shots:

Good lQQKn out,Ace. How easily does it remove and is the mounting bracket distracting without the lip on the windscreen. I will only be using it when I go on long hauls or riding in the rain.

Shwell, is that the regular or the touring model?

Sounds like I'll be picking one of these up before too long. It's starting to get kind of chilly out there.

Are you guys using this with stock windshield though? That got chucked a long time ago. I'm wondering if the lip can be used with aftermarket screens, I have both of the Zero Gavity screens, DB & SR.

This is a really bad picture, but the bike on the end, the Ducati has a Laminar Lip on the screen.

I do not know which one i ordered, I have had that thing on there for over a year now.. There is no mounting bracket.. It mounts with the screws for your reg windscreen.. I have mine mounted over a double bubbl, so it works with aftermarket screens. I ordered the tallest one they carried for the Busa..

They're meant to go with the stock screen, not for aftermarket screens.

As for ease of install...  Yes it is simple, they give you all the new hardware, longer screen screw and the mega velcro.  The thing is to NOT get wierd with it.  When I first put it on I had the angle set too high and it would collapse at 90 and in warm/hot weather the mega velcro would ooze under the downforce.  I got new mega velcro from them and redid it and it has not moves since.
