My wife is back in college to be a nurse practitioner and we would like to get her a computer and a wireless router setup. We don't know a whole lot about these things so I thought I would ask for some advice. All she really will be doing is word and power point stuff and lots of internet surfing. And we want a good, fast one, but would really like to keep it under 800 or so. Screen size isn't really important. At best buy I was looking at an HP with an AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual Core. It had 3GB of ram (I hear the more ram the better off you are) and a 160GB hard drive. They had it for $650. Good deal? Should I look somewhere else? My parents have an HP and really like it. Any other advice?
