I saw this on All Things Chrome and I was like a little girl. I normally don't dig the LED kits but I have to have these. Does anyone know how to do this? ATC wants $1500  For this setup but they wouldn't tell me how to do it. Not only that I would have to take my bike all the way to Hendersonville, TN to get it done and that ain't around the corner from Chicago! Help anybody:please::please::please:

Hmmm lightstrips around the hubs wired thru the axels? Interesting, but $1500 worth? Not sure...

I figure there's got to be a way to do it for way less money. I know that they are flexible strips on the spokes but I can't figure out how they get power to them.

LOL......$1500...they can go pound it. Its strip on the inside of the swingarm and fender. NOT on the wheel it self or sprocket...NO WAY> Unless its that new WIRE LESS power:rofl:

You can NOT put something on a spinning mass that has a wire lead from it?

+100 That's the way I do them.

Older pic of the MULLET. See the rear wheel.....only 6 LED on swingarm ( $50 for both sides? ) to glow the rim. Did NOT cost $1500??? MD state law says "no flashing or articulating LED lights". An led mounted on the rim = a moving articulating LED.???

the LED light sticks on the wheel and you have to mount a generator/power puc like on the hub

They sell them for the M109R

heres a link to on how they work

DataFileHost - puc Installation instructions 2.doc

This link works, go there and download a doc file. Very detailed with lots of pics. This is a great idea for the custom scene.

Too bad they want an arm and a leg for it...makes $1500 sound cheap. LOL

RAW Design-The Fat Box, Big Tire Motorcycle Kits » Welcome To RAW Design

Click videos and watch a couple. Looks really really cool till they show the video with 3 or 4 bikes all at once riding down the road...then it's a little bit much. LOL At the prices they are asking I don't think anyone will run into anyone else with it.

Ok after closer investigation the price shown on the website includes custom wheels with LEDs.

I see on their sight where they sell the LED strips, but I don't see where they sell the Puc (wheel thing giving power to LEDs). Probably will be added soon or something. Dunno how much that would be.

if they could just sell the Power Puc that would be a better deal.
you supply your own LED

If you want it bad you will spend the money

I saw this on display at bike week in Daytona. It is actually pretty simple. I don't have time to explain now, but I talked to the manufacturer and if you have any electrical and machining skills you can do it fairly cheap.

Copper ring, carbon brush. Think how the horn button makes contact on a steering wheel. If I wanted something like this I'd go the route of a simulated brake caliper with brushes in the "pads" and a rotor. You probably could use the existing calipers and rotors now that I envision it with the addition of some extra parts.
