I liked them since the first release. I have an issue with high hp toys.

My original plan was to take my 750 and make it a "track only" bike, but I ended up keeping it tagged&insured anyway. LOL The time was right to pick up a new bike so I went for it finally.

Had some things going on in my life, was looking at turn key cars and decided on the Busa for my fix for obvious reasons. Good decision.

Mostly because I just knew I wasn't really a "Harley girl"

Honestly, loved the looks of the bike...at the time, I had zero interest in any sport bike, but this one caught my eye and I just had to have one...that was nearly 4 years ago and I'm still just as happy as I was the day I bought it...

Me I loved the Busa as soon I saw one in the showroom at the local dealer in 99 when they came out but could not afford one at the time. Then I finally was able to afford the dream bike and I bought one it was on 02 grey and silver then in the fall of 2006 I was run off the road by a cager and she was totaled. So in order to fill the gap that I was missing in my life I went and bought another one 05 LE.

me i started out with a kanatuna(katana) then went to a gixxer 600...im 6'3" so i needed a bike to haul my fat a$$ and was looking for more comfort...so before i bought busa i was gonna buy a harley but i like my 160$ payment versus 400...so in conclusion im glad i got my busa best bike ever..

I rode a cruiser, Vstar 1100. I loved the chrome, the carbs, the loud pipes and that low and fat look... The horsepower was around 50 though and I kept dumping money into it for HP and torque gains. After about $2000 (and an additional 15HP) I started thinking about another bike.

Just keeping an eye out I saw a Hayabusa somewhere and I fell in love. It wasn't the power or the reputation that grabbed me, I had never even heard of it. It was the looks. As far as I am concerned this bike has the most beautiful lines of any motorcycle out there. It makes me feel the same way my first car made me feel, a 72 Monte Carlo. Those beautiful lines.

Of course then I looked it up on the Interweb and found that it was the "fastest motorcycle in the world" (said with a loud echoing voice.) I had to have it. It has been true love ever since. It was also the first sportbike I ever rode. I have ridden a bunch of sportbikes since then (mostly 600's) and wow they are lacking, it is amazing.

Once you go Busa, you'll never go back.

1. tried and true parts
2. comfort/ performance
3. aftermarket parts availability ( you can build a busa without any zuk parts nowadays)
4. i havent seen any other sportbikes on the history channel
5. me AND the wife can ride together in comfort (for a sport bike)
6. they may not rule the track, but they rule the street wich is where i ride!

Would you believe that my wife picked it out

??

I went to the local bike shop and was set on a 800vfr but before the deal was done the wife said she could'nt see herself sitting on that little rear pad for very long and it was clear with the phrase " I don't know about this bike but I like that ONE !!!! Then I sat on the busa and the rest is history !!!!!!!

Best call she's made yet gotta luv her !!!!!

I know how ya feel,I also have a VTX.Nice cruiser,but wanted more.

I wanted THE single bike that did EVERYTHING well, not just a couple things. Name a Gerne, busa does it

The main reason is because I broke my hip, femur, shoulder and tore several ligaments and muscles in my hips and shoulder. I could ride my CBR and dreaded the thought of riding double on it. My wife is not a big fan of my Bandit and I had ridden my brother's Busa with extremely good results. So, I bought the Busa as a bike that both my wife and I would own and make changes to jointly. Although I am an all bike fanatic and a sportbike/trackday junkie, who would have known other than all of my Busa brothers and sisters that this bike would turn out to be my favorite?! I love this bike and can honestly say it is the best all around bike I have ever owned! That's saying a lot when you know how much I love my Bandit.
