License plate lights

Just finished my lights and I’m happy with the Radiant LED.  They are pretty bright.  The led also lights up my rims, looks like I tried to add some light bling to the rear.

-   It’s a little bulky because I put wire connectors close to the plate so, when I do take it off, it’s a quick disconnect.

-  I used some small diameter SS braided wire cover

And here are a couple of shots for ya….(FYI: my camera sucks)

I did have to do something a little strange, the Radiant LED mounting bolts and nuts are not the same as your license plate, they’re about ½ inch wider. I did want to ream out my tag holes and I didn’t want the bolts from the LED coming through the other side. Lastly I had to tilt the LED slightly because of the shape of the tag holder. So…..I place the LED on my tag ran the wire through the bolt hole and down behind the tag so that it comes out the bottom. Then I use my trusty JB Weld 4 minute epoxy to attach the LED to my plate. (this stuff is strong as hell!!!!!! and I mean strong! I only used a dab on both ends to hold the light are the right angle and position on my plate. This stuff sets up fast and has a high temp rating too. Then the give the illusion of a gasket I used some black caulk sealant…..That’s it for me. I’m happy now.

Thanks for the lines and suggestions, it really helps.  I've ordered a Radiantz 37/8 license plate light (vertical add-on), I liked the look.  I should receive the it this week.  I'll install, give me review and post photo's.

Can you still use those swing arm mounted License plate holders with a dual Low mount system (stock with D&D Slipons) thanks!

I went to Advance Auto parts and bought some LED lights for $7 and drilled 3 little 7/32 hole in the flatten area of the udertail area . They put out plenty of light to light up the tag and they look great .
