Lightcycle's topgun undertail

8 Of 8 – Took a little longer than most of have done it here, but it was worth it.

Well, I took a break and then went back down to the garage to look at the finished product which I am very happy with. I did have problems with the last fairing pin (closest to seat) on both sides. It seemed that the material was too thick. I pinched the rear fairing and undertail together and they were touching, but the pin just wasn’t long enough so I threw a small nut and bolt on both sides and the painted the silver, black with some auto touchup paint. Can’t see a thing. I did notice that it’s a nice tight fit all the way around, and don’t figure any water is going to get inside.

I also agree with the rest of the group, the brake lights aren’t very bright. I’ve been reading about Iceman’s led brake lights and turn signals and may go that way in the near future.

I’m really happy with the quality of the undertail and the way it looks, but mostly I’m happy that I did it myself and didn’t take it somewhere to get it installed.

Thanks a bunch for trying to help out when I got stuck.

Very nice work, bro! I think total time for me was about 4 hours when I did it, but that was in spurts. I ordered the TG undertail and knew I had about 2 weeks to wait, so I went ahead and did some cutting of the stock fender since I wasn't riding anyway. When it arrived I did the last fit and trim and felt as good as you that it was done and the mudflap was gone.

If Icemann cannot hook you up with lights, I would highly reccommend Libertek's. I know they are pricey but I can guarantee you will be happy. here is the link.

They also make the 1" blinkers, this is what I have and they are birght as he!!.

Looks great! But with undertails, I would prefer the more original look than the 'normal' look with an undertail peice. Like mine, I have never seen another undertail setup like mine. BTW do you have pics of it on the bike and lit up? Would like to see.
What is so different about yours?

I have Libertek's also and they are very nice, but extremely expensive.
