EDIT....Any ideas about lightweight REAR rotors (im good on the fronts)? I'm assuming the rear brake doesn't need to be Super expensive to be effective but I could be wrong. I don't mind spending the money on top of the line stuff but only if necessary.

I bought a new rear Brembo rotor for my Gsxr1000, and it was either a few grams under or over the stock rotor.
And from memory(whatever that's worth, lol) their Gen2 rotor was basically the same, as far as weight comparison to stock.
I searched alot for a light weight alternative for my Gsxr too, and came up empty, and not to say that means there isn't one for the Gen2, but both the bikes have about the same aftermarket options.
The only thing that I could find were chinese rear rotors that were about a pound lighter, but they had so much material cut away, I knew they couldn't have any good stopping power.
A memeber here had one on his Gen2 and confirmed this, light weight, but poor performance.
I use my rear brake too, so it was a no go.
Unless @ROADTOAD1340 knows of something, the U.S. available options are slim, but Oz seems to have alot of cool parts that we likely wouldn't find without his know-how.

Plenty of ways to save weight, if I'm in the mood for some lightweight fun I just don't fill the tank. It performs best after the yellow light comes on.
I bet. But I ALWAYS top off before a speed run. The last thing I want when the cops come is to be worrying about running out of gas. Why I'm VERY excited to have one more gallon of gas in my new tank.

I know I could try and find a sicom rotor but that will take a miracle lol. And I already used up one miracle to get a deposit on the fronts

Fair enough.. but when I referred to having fun, I wasn't talking about speed runs. My idea of fun is to get out in the twisties and start cranking the bike over. With the right tires the hayabusa can be *sort* of nimble in the corners :D

I wish...I don't have tight twisties anywhere near around. In order to get a good lean i have to go pretty fast on the freeway bends. With the exception of freeway ramps

This run is about 25 minutes away from me, a favorite! The corners start at 1:30. Lead bike is a Gen-II
These guys are taking it pretty easy.

This is the Mecca, the Oxley. I rode it once 10 years ago, must get back down there, it's 600km south of me though and there are so many great roads up here I find it hard to make the effort. Just watching it makes me want to go down and check my tire pressures

On the ex Busa , I ran an underslung Active caliper mount with 84mm mounting holes for a Brembo P2 84mm billet fitment . I always choose the billet P2 Brembo for my bikes if I want to match any front caliper change out . You could get the good cast version of that caliper in 84mm fitment for less money . Webike might not have the Active hanger anymore , but worth checking , or they will have some other good brand no doubt .
The Brembo i think would not be as light as neat Berringer caliper as Mike suggested .
The rear 260mm rotor is huge and heavy , and there are a lot of nearly as heavy choices out there come replacement time .
I would avoid the aluminum rotor for street that Mike mentioned .
The Sicom rear is about the lightest out there , I got a ceramic / carbon rear BriLo on my ZX14R and it is also superlight . The ex Busa I chose a fixed Discacciati rear rotor , but Braking Italy , check for Galfer 08-13 Busa 875g rear , are similar weight , the stock is at least 1kg .
