Long Trip

a plug kit, and fix a flat with a hose on the can, a bible, a pistol (if one doesn't work the other one will), and a credit card is all you really need.
i keep an army duffel bag full of stuff, ready to hit the road at a moments notice. i also have a tank bag that collects random junk.:beerchug:

^^ Absolutely a Bible.

i have made alot of friends with a bible. ride into an event with a cma road bible and you'd be surprised how many of those tough lookin fellas have some religion. i also feel safer around strangers that have a religious background. less likely to get stabbed in the liver.

actually i usually carry 3-4 books with me, as well as a tent, jungle hammock, popeye hammock, -10 bed roll, 4 rachet straps, 1 lariat rope, rain suit, 5th of jim in a plastic bottle(glass bad!) atlas, gps, tire gauge, fix-a-flat, tire plug kit, big knife, little knife, 3 pocket knives, 1 or 2 pistols w/200rds of ammo, sun block, chapstick, chargers for everything, laptop, 2 pants, 2 shirts, 2 pair socks, canteen, extra helmet, pocket kite, hooded sweatshirt, whall blizard proof coveralls, :handball: kitchen sink:laugh:
ok no sink..yet.
i always pack way too much!

Pashnit had an awesome site w/ lots of good info and really cool doodads for your busa. ya gotta check it out :rulez::thumbsup:
