Looking for a good ecu flash tuner near maryland

Which brings us back to @Mr Brown's post, asking what your expectations are. Flashing and tuning are terms often interchanged, but probably shouldn't be. Flashing means reprogramming certain components contained within your '19 Busa's Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Some reprogramming (flashing) merely enable or disable certain aspects of the engine (like limiters) which (arguably) have little effect on the bike's tune. This is often referred to as a basic flash.

On the other hand, the entire spectrum of the ratio of fuel-to-air being delivered to the cylinders (each of the 4 cylinders, separately) can also be "re-mapped" or "tuned" through the ECU to optimize fuel delivery and combustion efficiency, which, in turn can have a profound impact on throttle response, acceleration, horsepower ... and probably a dozen other things. This is (locally) referred to as a flash-tune, or a dyno-based tune.

I could probably get away with saying here that all tunes require an ECU flash, but not all ECU flashes affect the bike's tune.

Now, perhaps you can:
  • appreciate that the type of exhaust system you have on your bike would be considered a variable of which any potential flasher or tuner would (should) want to take into consideration ... which is why Schnitz asked what "pipe" was on the bike
  • more clearly understand why it's important to know what your end goals are for the bike prior to flashing the bike.
My opinion: a basic flash

Resources (in addition to the comprehensive ones already posted on this thread by @Yellow09):

is the schnitz flash the offer tuned for my setup ? there is a extra 125bucs on top of the standard flash items the offer. if thats the case my question is can i buy a flashed ecu with timing and fuel changes all ready on it for my setup of do i have to have dyno tuned in person ?

If you get your bike ecu dyno tuned and they don't do what is normally done in an ecu flash as well you went to the wrong place.

ECU's are not cheap. (2017 model)

And if it were the younger version of me, I'd promise you an ECU module customized to your exact bike, reflash and tune your existing ECU for your bike (without you knowing it), then charge you for a new ECU + the flash + the tune. Over $2k.

So, no, that's not the way to go. You want it customized not only for your bike, but also for your riding style. Imagine how a tune for a drag bike would be different from, say, a commuter/weekend warrior bike

If you're going to get your ECU flashed, do yourself a favor and send it to Rob @Boosted Cycle Perf . He is a sponsor and many members will vouch for his ability. Cheaper than Schnitz as well. I've said it elsewhere and I'll repeat it here, I am a fan of Schnitz racing and Ryan does good work, but we should support Rob when we can. He contributes a lot to our community.
HI, Mr Brown is correct. I feel that if change anything it need a new tune. They run lean to pass the smog stuff. I have worked on 1000+ bikes. 1 bike to me he had ran at wide open for few miles this was a 100% stock bike. He put a nice big hole in #2 piston, and oil all over his rear tire. lucky he did not crash. If you go slow you will be OK. Push it hard it can go boom. It is up to you it is your $.I am not making any $ off of this I just want your bike to run the best it can for you.

If your only doing slip ons schitz flash isn't gonna be for your slip ons they offer a generic flash from bikes they've ran with full systems kind of like the same thing you get from a generic power commander map and I wouldn't run my bike mapped to another bike as we all know each bike is different. As far as your question about flashing the ecu with your bike with only slip ons it will make your throttle response smoother and as you've read they usually take the timing retard out of the lower gears, remove top speed limiter, and bump up the rev limiter. I ran my bike for a year with just slip ons then sent the ecu to be flashed and it made a nice difference. Now with that said I just installed a full yoshi alpha t exhaust on mine and the difference with the cats gone is amazing. I am a big fan of the dual exhaust on a busa but decided I was ok with the single when I seen the alpha, it was also a big plus that I could use the oem o2 sensor and not have to use an o2 eliminator like with the brocks.
