Looking for the best Busai

I know this may not seem like a valid topic but I def. wanna buy my new busa in the next 3 weeks . After some running around I decided a brand new 05 Busa was the best way to go ( people only seem to want to get rid of there busa if there is something wrong with it ) However alot of the dealerships i have visited have had many after market mods set up on the bikes on the floor and are charging well over sug. retail for these bikes ( 20 grand for a limited ) I was wondering if these mods are better done myself or if i should really take the bike out stock before i even think about moding it. I am only 23 with limited experiance on bikes , so most salesman are condecending to begin with about me buying a busa ( yes I have read the forums on this topic and appreciate everyones opion.) So its hard to get them to take me seriously anyway. Any advice. Also other than the MSF course that you guys would suggest to hone my skills as a safe rider.

20 grand , dont think so, UNLESS its gotta Motorhead Race pack and a Hahn built engine, then maybe.:)

itll only go as fast as your right wrist twistz... this was my first real bike and ive had no problems with it. just start off slow and get to know her... only hard part about these hefty beasts is when your going slow. other than that i think they are a piece of cake...

ride safe

Don't know too many dealerships that could sell a Busa for $20k even with mods.

Extreme Motorcycles in hickory NC trying to sell an 05 limited w/ extension , handle grips , zero gravity windshield , LED turn signals , and two into one exhaust . No engine upgrades just aesthetics really and they want $19,899 for it. I thought that wa a bit unreasonable compared to my research online. So I thought I would turn the subject to this board. If that truely what the market is like in my area I suppose I will have to go regional in my search. Any advice from anyone in the NC area?

Buy new and ride it for awhile, get used to the stock power then modify it. 20k would build you one heck of a bike. Figure stock bike 9500-10000
best bullet proof engine with stage two turbo, cut tranny, clutch and all the engine upgrades needed with a tune 10-11k. That should get you a 350hp on pump gas and 460 on race fuel.
Then go back to the dealer and pull out the dyno sheet. Guranteed it will be one of the fastest street legal Busa's in the neighborhood, maybe in the state!!!!

man a busa only cost 10 and a mod that will put u on top of the street will only run u 2 to 3 grand extra. don't be a fool for them to make money off of u. but stock then get your own 4 into 1, pc, rims and be a show stopper.

Tell the dealer you just sold your 02 busa and you want a new one. You should be able to get one under 10k. As for all the mods, they will be much more satisfying if you take your time and do them yourself. Don't take any shid from the stealership.

Thank you guys for your encouragement. I have compiled a list of every suzuki dealership within a 150 mile radius. I will price compare each one letting them know I am comparing on such a broad range. Worse case scenerio I get a great price and get a long first ride on my new busa:;):

Id suggest you buy a stock busa, and do the mods yourself...!!

....and welcome to the board mate
