i was doing a little searching around on the site and i came across a pic of one of you guys out there with a blue busa that has chrome rims and a fat tire. the thing that caught my eye and i'm interested in was that he didn't have a normal exhaust system. he just had what looked like cans sticking out underneath his rearsets. i guess what i'm trying to find out is whether or not running the bike without the midpipes would hurt it? i would really like to get in contact with him if anyone knows who i'm talking about. thanks alot

This one?

yes, that's him. i'm wondering if it's ok to have cans directly connected to the headpipes bc i really like the look and i bet it sounds mean. i'm just not just if that set up effects the performance at all, do you know?

I would think it would affect performance because of the reduced back pressure. Those cans are also cut. You could remedy that with a good dyno tune.

First run with MHF map in it ran 137hp. After 18 runs and getting low on fuel, Greg got it to 150.32hp / 89.41 torgue on STD setting and 146.57hp / 87.17 on SAE . He is going to e-mail me the dyno sheet and I will post it then. Here are some pic.[/quote]

For any that would like to see in person...come to 4/26 Woodbridge Power Sports "BlockParty" Be there if weather is good. Here is a pic of the mids and cans.

PLAN TO PARK IN PARKING LOT....table wont fit in tank bag

The pack that is riding down from Hagerstown should arrive around 1:00 and hang for about 3 hours or more. We should be able to park at the store then. Heck...leading the pack is 2 Busa w/330, 1 turbo Busa, 1 gsxr 1000 w/300, and others including 2 ZX14 (

trailing the back ).

Sounds good to me...the site is talking about having free shuttles...and to call ahead to reserve a table for your "club"....I'm hoping that would be just for the cars...not cool with leaving the bike somewhere and takin a "shuttle" to the event..sure I'm reading that wrong...if my bike is back together I may be able to get a motley crue together from Maryland myself...

i was wondering how that exhaust set up sounds and performs with the midpipes being so short? it really cleans up the back to let that huge wheel shine! good job
