That look awesome....what did you use to cut the fairing and did you smooth out the cut or cover it?

haha i use masking taoe and i remove the 3 screws from the derby cover ov the origional clutch cover i lay faigin back in place and tape with masking tape. Next i hold the derby cover up ontop of the masking tape and line up where it should be on fairing it will hang partially off then u trace onto tape with black marker. Then use cordless dremel with rotozip bit. then fine grit sand paper to clean it up then door moulding to make it look clean. Which i have all of and i can set something up in the next couple of weekends to make the trip if its feasable for both of you. as im out of work so i have nothing but free time on my hands at the moment. Let me know if you too wanna work out a day on one of the weekends just let me know and we will make it happen.

Damn...that sounds cool but it will have to be after the holidays for me.

They are nice and while it's hard to cut the fairing just start like others have said and place masking tape over the fairing and put the center cap over the frame, draw the circle around the cap and then start your cuts from the center and ease your way out to the edge. Seems daunting, but really not bad once done.

And you've got plenty of examples of how it should look, but here's another :
