Hmmm, on the spare key there is a number, and even a place to write this number in your owners manual. If you have a locksmith they can come top your house and roll the tumblers and file a key with the exact cut then get a suzuki blank and have it cut on the key. If I were you I would get atleast 10 made. Yes it will be costly but hopefully it will leave a lasting memory for each time you have the key in your hand.

Well this has been a learning experiance!! Got a couple leads on some blanks so I will go prepared from now on.
Glad it also got some other peoples attention also before it happens to someone else.
Yes Dawn, kids can be fun . . .

How many you needing? I have quite a few extra's as I bought a bunch and switched all my keys over to new style with the Kanji on it and got rid of all my old solid black ones that come with the Gen 1's and plain blanks I had from getting spares from locksmiths. I think I got about $3.75 in them and I'll pass the same on to you if your interested. I should have red/black & maybe a couple blue's left w/kanji and same colors with suzuki S , also got them w/ GSXR on them also. And since your only in MO it should only take a day or 2 to get them since I'm in TN, that way next time you'll be prepared.
LMK

i would like to buy a couple from you, red if possiable...pm me on your availablity. thanks

!!!!!News Update!!!!!
Found the key!!!! It was under my pillow on my bed. Whaaahuh?
I never leave anything on the bed!
Well, we do have a 20 month old nephew running around the house. He is at his Dad for the weekend so I never would have guessed its a good possibility he might have been playing hide and seek with stuff.
Well it off to E-bay to shop for key blancks.
I wonder if I can get them by the dozen?

It's not necessary to have a suzuki blank. You can simply go to your local hardware store where they make keys and have one or more made. I have extra keys made for every suzuki bike including the busa at my local Ace Hardware. I zip tie one in some odd place and it's always handy in a pinch. :-)

Alternate explanation:

You were sleep ridding. Did you wake up with bugs in your teeth one morning? I would check the gas gauge to see if any is missing.

Actually I put the key under my pillow in hopes and dreams that the kind and generous Busa Fairy would leave m a 2011 . . .

LMAO It is quite funny watching him run around looking upstairs and downstairs in the washer, the dryer, tail bag, tank bag, under the couch, under the cat's tail. LOL he was a sight. All I could say was what the hell are you looking for? to which he finally told me his bike key. Yep made me find mine to keep it away from him so he wouldn't loose mine too. LOL He was definitely dreaming of something. LOL:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
