Loud Creaking sound coming from under tank.

Its loose, no more than normal though. I can move the dampner up and down a little, but as far as side to side is concerned its just fine. I think thats how its been ever since ive had it.
i read your post twice scratching my head and the only thing i could think of is maybe the hinge to your gas tank. i know it's sound far fetched but with the hard snap of the throttle and you describing it as a creaking sound gives me that impression. mine has been doing this for the past few years but it's faint and it does have some play. ???

Ill check that out and let you know how it goes. How long do you think it would take to replace the head bearings? The tank hinge assy is roughly 45 bucks, same for new tapered bearings. I could put on the hinge, doubt i could handle the bearings though.
New sympton, realized it does it pretty bad when i hit bumps or go over rr tracks.

It was my right frame slider, buddy of mine rode it and i could hear better where it was coming from. Thanks for the help guys.
