I bought a set of the origional BDE dog bones and a lowering strap off of www.fishscustoms.com..
$35.00 for the bones and $15 for the strap. With shipping to me in Ohio was $56.00 total. Super fast shipping. Great deal, especially for quality BDE links like this! I definitely recommend these guys. Heres a few pics:

I can probably figure it out.. But just in case, anybody know of any website instructional walk-throughs on how to install the dogbones and strap by anychance? Ive heard that you take the strap and bolt it to both sides of the upper brake caliper brackets? Does the strap go above the lower tree or upper or somewhere else? And I heard you need a jack to jack up the rear shock when installin' these bones? Ima try to do this tommarow.. Hrmmm..

You could also have someone move the back tire and align it for you, make sure that you have a motorcycle jack under the bike or some floor jacks under the back of the bike frame (with rags/towels between them, so they don't scratch it)

Quazy,

I have everything you need to install the links if you don't have a motorcycle stand?

Just shoot me an email and we can get together this weekend to install them. If not......

The strap goes between the tank bolts and steering neck when looped over the frame(The strap goes on top not under the tank bolts).  Make sure you run the strap under your cables and make sure it doesn't bind up on the cable hook on the right side of the frame.

Make sure everything is staight and lined up when you yank down on the strap.  The main thing is check your stearing!  Don't let it bind on the above mentioned hook.  You will figure it out when you look at it.

As for the links, you need a rear bike stand and a floor jack.  Put the bike on the stand, remove the tiger tail(lower rear exhuast fairing) and jack the bike up on that bracket just enough to remove the pressure.  Loosen the bolts and take the old links off.

Lower the stand to the desired link hole and tighten bolts.  For anyone doing this with stock exhaust, it will be easier to just TAKE OFF THE FACTORY CANS!  Take the subrame bolt out and the clamp by the foot peg.  It takes less than 5-minutes for both.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you want to ride up to Dayton for the quick install.

Later,

Josh

I slammed it already today.. Had a little problem with the bones because my Yosh 4into1 exhaust was hitting the bottom bolt where you have to pull the bolt out to put the new link on. But I evenutally figured it out. I put the strap on too. By looking at your pictures, I must have done everything right. The only difference, is with the strap, my choke cable runs over top the frame inbetween the gastank bolts because I have heli-bars.. But I just ran the strap under all the cables including this one against the frame. I gotta TG tail on mine 2, so I can only go 2" but it definitely lowered it and looks sweet. Thanks for the pics and info. man. The belts are shown' on my rear tire so I cant ride anywhere right now.. But I gotta new M1 on the way!
