Lowering pegs are great BUT......

Gearing up but especially down is more trouble than it should be.The foot has much further to travel for gearing due to the lower peg position. The levers would have to be lowered to compensate.
I'm guessing some smart folk on here have come up with a solution for this. Can something be done to the stock levers or fo they need to be changed/altered?Any help is appreciated.
My only complaint about the Buell peg mod
I Ground off the knob on the end after cutting the rubber off, Threaded the end and made a extention
If I then pointed my toe outward I could deal with it

Bike fell over broke it off and bike lost it's street cred when I rewired then bike with no lights chasing a gremlin So I have not redone the shifter lever

Wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.....

Like the other renditions there will be probably very little to no dealer support and with these high tech bikes that is a must.

I guess I don't fully understand this thread. I have had buell pegs on mine for like 14 years now and I don't have an issue with the stock actuator rod length, and I'm 6'4" with size 14 feet. If it got that far couldn't you just rotate the splined part one tooth?

I know why you feel that way, but I've been watching these for a while now, and am optomistic about it.
Eric Buell seems like he puts heart and soul into his bikes, and he was getting Superbike podiums a decade or so ago with HD.
Hopefully now, with Buell basically being their own now, good things are going to happen.
They seem to have a good plan in place, and the off road bike looks awesome as well.
I do agree on the need of factory support for all the modern tech though.
I'de hate to see Buell's new venture go the way of Victory motorcycles, which could leave you s.o.l in the future.
But, the new Buells still look pretty promising, time will tell, I'm looking forward to real world reviews.
If it is indeed a hit, and reasonably comfortable for what it is...I'de Love to own a true American Superbike.

We'll see, the HD Buells were less than exciting and the later versions had all kinds of electrical issues....the 1125R was a cool looking bike but broke all the time...

I had a friend that had one and when it ran it was awesome but it seemed to always be broken...and he had zero tech support for it....he ended up selling it for a fraction of the cost of its worth just to get rid of it.

Victory and now Indian have sure been failures...Polaris has the network but not the techs or the market.

Too bad, I too think it would have been great to get a little home-grown competition going.

Agree.. After a motorcycle accident in 2018 i have limited movement of my left ankle, i have the buell pegs and no issues at all. But of course you will need to adjust the lever.
