Lowering the bus?

I can see lowering you bike for drag racing but for the street? What could I possibly gain from lowering my bike for street riding? Maybe a shittier handling bike that scrapes more hard parts on the tar than a Fuc*ing Harley!?
But wait.......I would look really cool wouldn't I?!

Yes lower on the street better launch than full size one.
I stay up till it is time to race then it gets dropped.
