Since this thread started I got curious, I installed the BDEs all the way down, now I have it back up to 2" and am undecided as to which I like better(6' 34" inseam). Seems that the suspension is a LITTLE looser feeling at 3", but I haven't tinkered with the damping and preload w/ it down there. I softened it up before I got the links so I'm going to put it back down and stiffen it up, see what haps. As to lowering it to race and lift it back up to ride home, I miss the point. I find the bike more comfortable riding 100 miles or more with it down, as the stance takes some weight off your hands.
