Glad she is ok, Now for the truck it can be fixed I've seen worse repaired! And your ins shouldnt go up hers will accidents are on your license so hopefuly your good there. Now in NY if that were to happen your insurance company would ask where she lives and if she lived with her other family members (mother, farther, brother, etc) that has their own cars your insurance company would go after theirs. If she lives with you then your insurance will go up unless you get her a policy of her own. If you dont want to put in a claim and fix it yourself go here and see what you can find for parts http://www.fullsizechevy.com

Well it's not looking real good for the ol' truck. My Dad pulled the bumper off earlier and said the left side frame rail is about an inch lower than the right, and there is a bend in the right fender ( the side the didn't hit anything ) so the front end, both fenders, are shifted to the left. So now we know for sure that the frame is bent, just don't know how much.

Yeah I do, and I will have to get a rent car when I get home. If the truck does get totaled all I can hope for is that the insurance pays off what I owe, and start shopping for her a new vehicle.

Check your loan papers to see if you have GAP insurance on the vehicle. GAP covers any difference between what you owe, and what the insurance company will pay. Some dealers just kind of slip it in on your loan without you asking for the coverage, and many people have it and don't know it.
