any one ever encounter this? i havent run my bike for a few weeks , in its down time i put a k&n filter and did the marble mod. today i pulled it out to do an oil change and i could here the faintest little barly noticable vacume sounding whistle. i suppose it might be the pair valve attempting to get air????i did put new header on recently and my first thought was an exhaust leak but i checked all that and found nothing.

I took the entire pair system off, completely! Why have the dead weight (granted, its only a couple lbs)? I also didn't put marbles anywhere, instead, I sealed the airbox with a red gasket former. Then I blocked off the exhaust holes with my own block off plates made by cutting the heads off the snakes of the pair valve system, filled with JB Weld, and coated the bottom (engine side) with high temp red gasket maker. I put them on, torqued them down, let it sit for a day, started it up, and had 0 problems since. You MIGHT have a tiny leak somewhere so hunt it down and fix it before it gets bad!

The marble mod is good-to-go. This may not be a likely scenario, but have you checked the be sure you got the air filter and air box lid seated properly. No screws left out?

Im gonna check the air filter but im sure its tight. Mabye the air filter just sounds different from the stocker. I ran it some yesterday when i changed the coolant and i didnt detect the sound. I might be being hyper sensitive cause i like my busa so much. Ha ha

What the hell is a marble mod? Been doing busas for years, never heard of this.

Actually, I never even used a marble. I just put one of these plastic tips on the nipple from the airbox, then replaced the hose and clamp over it. Same effect.
