Maxton LSR race update

Great read and the pics wow, very good.. to bad about the crack and so forth..

Thank you for taking us along..

They use smaller or low cut tanks so you can tuck behind the fairing for better aerodynamics...

yes, the short answer is cutdown fuel tanks allow you to hide better behind the windscreen. For me it's two fold. Allows a better tuck and drops plenty of weight. :beerchug:

The 208 for most is respectable but when you can easily foot shift teathing 211.9's all motor a 208 isn't a highlight for myself. :dozingoff: It is, what it is though. I like to give you folks the good, the bad and everything in between. :beerchug::thumbsup:

Things happen but at least you had fun, meet some nice people, and had a blast! :beerchug:

Even if you went a tad bit slower than a nitrous bike with a jockey on board, you are still doing great for a private guy. I'd expect a little more if you owned your own shop, dyno, etc.. It's also great to see that you give all the facts and don't just tell people the good while leaving out ALL of the bad.

Congrats again, a true sportsman!

I've never been to an event where every run is picture perfect. Every LSR event I've raced (which has only been 5 events) have always had a few issues. I consider myself a seasoned rookie . Sheesh, now that I think about it, that equates to only one complete ECTA season. :banghead: Since everything is out of pocket for myself it's been a long journey. I've done well at acheiving my own goals and am even more proud of all the others I've helped along the way. LSR has always been in my blood. It's so much more than just your personal achieements. Some get it some don't. :welcome:

:turn: whew, for a minute there I thought you were talking about me! :nervous: I get it now! ;)

Very true! Achieving your personal goals is great but being able to help someone else achieve their goals too is what it's all about!

The perfect run is a rare thing even amongst the best & fastest. But boy it sure feels nice when it happens!!!

So... any word on the crack? I'm really interested to hear the cause if it can be found!

Debbie

Deb, I started a new thread titled Ignition cover or something that will go into the details of the crack in the cover.

Found it: https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/busa-mods/106830-ignition-cover.html

Perfect! I hadn't seen that. I mostly just visit the top speed section cause I can't keep up with the general population area of the board! Even the "New Posts" nets several pages each time which is way too much for me!

schroetf it's gotten to the point now that you need a crew to help you wait in line. I sure miss the good ole days of hot lapping!!! ;)
