Maybe this is what the B-King should've been...

I think that's what the B-King IS  Minus the Euro paint job.

My bike has no fairings, has a Busa motor, and has handle bars instead of clip ons.

I too have reworked the suspension.

Plus, I'll pay more for an all black bike with 0 miles than the used and abused busa there.

Although, Suzuki builds strong motors, so I doubt either of us will have any issue with reliability

I think this should actually do it for 'what it SHOULD' look like.

This bike is Wharthog3's...an amazing transformation from the stock (which apparently very few people found loveable)...to this...

:beerchug: Nice work, bro!

Man, NOO love for the Busa cousin in here I guess. Its okay, I like too MANY bikes, they all do their own thing, my B-King included. :cheerleader:

I'd rather have the b-king also. even looks better than that one.

No offense to you B-King owners. The look has kind of grown on me.

I just thought this stripped-down streetfighter has a very purposeful look to it. In fact, it looks a lot better than I thought a naked Busa would look. Imagine what it would've looked like if the factory did a bit of cleanup on the miscellaneous wires and hoses that were never meant to be seen.

No offense taken, everybody likes different bikes (that's why they make em  )

THIS IS NOT A THREAD JACK. Just, I think, a logical question.....Has anyone fantisized about striping down a Hayabusa and making it into a naked bike with handlebars? Some bikes look unfinished without fairings but....after some hose replacement/adjustments and headlite mod, the Busa looks downright "together". A couple of companies make a beautiful billet tripletree top for bars too.
BTW, I'm not referring to an abused/crashed Busa "rat" bike, I mean a well done scooter.

That's definitely not a threadjack, Raydog. This is exactly what I was thinking when I posted this. Almost wish I had just posted the pic and skipped the link to the article because everybody is posting about the abused stunt bike and not what the bike looks like!

Yea i do think a naked busa looks very good when done right and cleaned up a bit.

I do like street fighters, but if you look at the true street fighter bikes, the busa would indeed need a tail fairing mod. Its too big.

The tail of a busa finishes out the look from tip to tail, the teardrop, but IMO if you take off the front fairings, the back "hump" will look out of place on a streetfighter.

But I'm biased because I have my pointy tailed B-King

"Ghostrider" aka Patrick ....(something) had (has?) a turbo'd street figher Busa which was close to 500hp. I don't even remember WHAT the tail on that thing looked like, just that the front end never touched the ground

I like them.. But then I own a B King and a Busa.... They both shine in their own ways that make them both very special bikes

seems most of the "stripped down" busa's are more like "low budget" get it back on the street bikes... most look pretty nasty IMO and look about 2 days post "crash"

I like the BK myself... wish I could afford that, the new 1198S, 1200RT BMW, H2 750 and a few others..

Wow, wharthog3, beautiful King you have there. I love the look of the tail. It brings back a couple of memories of the FZ1 I had a few years ago, but yours has the Busa grunt :).

i think it looks pretty cool. and he probably got a pretty good deal. id like to have a b-king as well. hell id like to have about 1 of everything.

Thank you for the compliment. I'm glad you guys (the .Org) let me hang out, even without a Busa to call my own.

The B-King doesn't have its own forum (well there are some, but they're a little dead) so I thank everyone that makes me feel welcome here :beerchug:
