Me vs My Buddy's Vette

A real Z06 vs. busa drag race. Guy on the busa wasn't the best in the world either (watch him let off and get back on the gas near the end) but did alright.

... no doubt that the only stock car vs a stock busa winner is the bugatti veyron... because that thing does 0-60 in 2.3sec and tops out at over 248.

So....

Roll-on 'fights' aka races are not right or fair when it comes to the stock busa (or any busa) vs a car. From a standstill the busa will walk or run away from anything less than a Veyron (that costs 1.4 million dollars!).

If you own a stock busa and want to race a car... you'll probably win unless you suck at twisting the right hand or the driver in the car has something under the hood that can blow away anything.

*Fact: A great rider on a stock busa can take out any stock production car (except the $1.4m veyron)....

*If both vehicles drive/ride long enough to reach max speed, then yes..... certain cars can/will overtake the Busa... but on regular roads in everyday situations, no car but the Veyron can tame the Busa!

Oh. But....

The Busa retails around 11k. So... 11k vs 1.4 million is a rather large price gap for our performance dollars as consumers!!!

The veyron wouldn't do much out in the real world either. The car is huge and heavy so corners don't favor it too well. Not to mention bikes slip around and, if needed, between traffic alot better then cars. Even a Buell would crush a veyron racing from one end to the other of a detroit highway during rushhour. Besides, good luck finding someone willing to push the veyron hard on any road. Those things are not exactly easy to insure.

To rest the case here's a veyron dancing with a r1 on a highway with even a carrera GT jumping in at the end. Veyron does great for a bit top end wise but when encounter just one car let along a lil traffic, wisdom has the driver back off. R1 rider was just enjoying the car running. Had he started pulling a ghostrider zipping around cars well then that would be that.


Nice he was able to hang and enjoy the company of 1.5million dollars worth of exotic car hardware on a 10k bike.

what i'm trying to say...

We will NEVER encounter a Veyron, anyway.....

So.... the average Busa owner needs to know that he CAN take any stock car out from a standstill to a mile...... right?

The Veyron is soooooo limited. It is a dream car that we'll never see on any day anyway....... it's a $1.46million car we'll never get to challenge........

IF we see one (fat chance) we'd probably just keep riding anyway........

Yes and no, the big diferance being that a stock "real" Z06 only has 505hp at the motor, my friends vette in my video ( and picture ) has 715hp at the wheels. It will embarass a stock "real" Z06. So it's not exactly the same, but I see where your coming from.

No prob man and i didn't mean to incline like i was putting down your buddy's car. With Z06 body and boosted engine he's gonna be confusing alot of cars he encounters. Well rode bikes on the other hand....there's been enough vids showing close to 900rwhp or obviously more then that is what's needed for killing any decently rode sub 180rwhp bike in roll ons. Yes some exotics have higher top speeds but they take quite awhile to get to those speeds and the bikes are gonna hit 180 in much less distance then they are. So they'll need even more ground to start reeling the bike in after hitting 195 or 200. That's rare to find in the majority of street encounters. Especally with this thing out there called Traffic.

Yeah I know what you mean. And your right, it's very rare to run into something on the street that will pull away from you or even keep up. And you can see by the video, it was traffic that kept us from getting out of third gear!
