Senator John Kerry, that smug limo-leftist, took another cheap shot at uniformed American Patriots in Iraq. Kerry insists, "You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
When asked to apologize by House and Senate leaders, Kerry said, "I apologize to no one. ... My statement yesterday was a botched joke."
That was until Senator Clinton, whom Kerry will be battling for the Demos' presidential nominee in '08, chastised him: "What Senator Kerry said was inappropriate." That prompted Kerry to offer up a faux apology: "I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended."
In the words of VP bobo Cheney, apparently, "[Kerry] was for the joke before he was against it."
Kerry, who loathes the military even more than Bill Clinton, has a sordid history of treasonous remarks about uniformed Patriots, beginning with his 1971 congressional testimony when he claimed American troops had, "raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Ghengis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam...."
Was that a "botched joke"?
Just last year, Kerry said, "American soldiers [are] going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the -- of -- the historical customs, religious customs."
Was that a "botched joke"?
