In road racing it means < pit > or in other of cases < get off the track if your going to just make parade laps and just be in the way of the race line >.

Some folks just ease back and punches a guy in the arm <Stoner>

Since it was a Gixxer , by chance were you in the left lane and got passed on the right ? If so , might have been a jab at you for poking along. Dunno, wasn't there.

I was in the fast lane (left lane), I saw the bike approaching from behind, so I got over into the right lane, to allow them to pass. I got back into the fast lane, excelerated a little, then I noticed the leg extention.

I don't thinkt, the biker was signaling for road hazzards. They were either saying hi, catch up, or I got you.

Good discussion.

I do this from time to time to stretch my legs out. Since I am so Skinny, I also stand on the pegs and do a cartwheel landing back on the bike. Now that really improves circulation

As long as we are on the subject, have you ever noticed some moto gp riders hang their inside foot off to the side right before they go into a sharp turn? not all of them do it just some . What purpose dose this serve?

Do you remember back in the day when ridding you pedal bike going around a corner, you would put your foot down, or out to give yourself some balance or just to make yourself feel better going around the curve, well this is the same thing rossi is doing. people have been doing it forever, dirt bike guys do it also. just the 1st i have noticed do it on a sportbike.

" the po-po is in the vicinity ".....:rofl:
