Michelin 2CT

I'm on my 2nd set of the 2ct's. I got about 15k on my rear and 10k on the front. I dont take it to the track and thats mostly highway use.

I was running them exclusively and will again as soon as I need the factory set on my '08 replaced. I'm fairly harsh on the tire ( no burnouts, but aggressive through the gears ) and was getting close to or just over 5K. When the tire gets worn it can become a little slick on hard stops. Great tire.

WHOA... Tuf:
Did you say Michelin makes a Decent street tire?
or are my eyes deceiving me?

:poke:

Just kidding.

Hell yeah! I give credit where credit is due!

They are a pretty good street tire and decent track day tires if you are an exceptional rider. But for the occasional trackday rider, I wouldn't recommend them as they are very unforgiving. A little mistake will get you into big trouble. I find most guys have to crash twice on michelins before they will give them up for a better tire. Strange human nature I think? ???

Tuf: Avon Storms or BT016s....?

Depends on what you are looking for in performance. Storms are a great tire with a relatively long life and a good choice for the guy who does tons of miles with the occasionaly twisty day tossed in.

The BT016 is a really good twisty tire, very forgiving and has decent life for a genuine performance oriented tire. Dual compound front and tripple compound rear. I have a new set of 16's awaiting spring weather.

I still have a soft spot in my heart for Dunlop's Qualifier as maybe the best of all the street tires. Hard tire to beat.

I really like the Qualifiers, as far as an "all around" tire. I'm sure you can get some that will last longer, and some that stick better, but these "I think" are right down the middle, JMO though ??

What makes them so unforgiving? I mean crash twice?
