Michelin Power GP Tires

I thought at one point I posted something about these tires but could not find it. In any case I was wondering if anyone has tried these tires before. I have a set on my zx14r after switching from a set of angle gt2 tires. So I have had the front on for 4k miles now and the rear for 3k miles. First the tires are excellent. Quick warm up. sticky as hell and I am quite pleased that at the 3k mile mark on the back there is still a lot of tread life still on it. Never got more than 3k out of the battle ax tires they come with. Im guessing I will get at least 4k miles on the rear which I think is outstanding for such a grippy tire. Granted these things are always subjective depending on riding style etc. Its mostly a commuter aside from a week stay at the dragon each year. On those trips alone I usually end up putting 2k miles on it. Dont ride like I used to. Its been good in the rain but I havent been stuck in a down pour like I have with the angles. I dont think I would be comfy riding 70mph on the highway with these tires in a down pour like I would have with those angle tires but that said, man its an excellent tire for anyone thinking of trying them out!! I might try the Michelin road 6 tires next. Just to see

I found merely two posts starting on this one. Looks like @Dopey steers us away from them in favor of the Q3+:

Angles? Never heard of them. If commuting is your (most mileage riding) I’d recommend any of the Michelin PR tires. Harder center for straight up riding and softer edges for cornering, in the wet too. I’ve ridden hundreds of miles in the rain with PR2s. From what I read the 4s, 5s and 6s are better for the wet.

+1
7k mi on the Michelins
But I do miss the stickiness of the Q3+
As Wuzza said, Michelins are THE commuter tire

[EDIT] Angle = Pirelli Angel GT
