Does anybody have a set of this on there Busa Yet. Just purchased a set getting them mounted next week. Would like some feedback on performance and mileage. Thanks Jon,

I've had many sets of them on my busa so far. I like them so much that I haven't switched brands yet. The streets of South Florida are pretty harsh on tires. Between hot, cold, or sometimes wet pavement, traction has never been a problem.

I have them on my Busa but haven't put more than 300 miles on them. After the first 90 miles I finally got into the turns pretty good (enough to scrap the bottom fairing)and she stuck well!
I liked my previous Dunlop Qualifiers also.

There nice tires.

I have used a few sets.

The front tires sharp profile, makes for a very quick turn in.

It's the only front tire I've had since the factory set. About 7 rears so far. Great tire in my opinion, will get slick on emergency stops when they need to be replaced. Love them. Have tried Metzlers, and had a Shinko. Not much to say about the Shinkp except it was fun for 4K rolling burnouts. I'm getting about 17K on front and 4K on rear. I ride hard most of the time.

Honestly, they have great track manners but on public roadways they seem to fade (get that flat spot around the circumference) as quickly as any other tire (less expensive Pilot Power non 2CTs included).

I have long suspected that this whole 'dual compound' thing might be more marketing savvy than rubber consistency but I'll leave that up to the .org scientists...

If anyone finds a Busa-proof tire that grips AND wears... well the Lost City of Gold is not far away!

All that negativity being said, Michelin PP are the best dang tires out there, just find a sponsor!

I am having trouble finding out the story of the 2ct tires

the PP is a single compound tire I know
but which compounds are used on the PP2ct?

I have heard 2 stories on the PP2ct...
1. Pilot race compound sides on the PP center
2. P.Road center with the PPower sides..

I have 2CTs on my GSXR 750. Work great for street use, but they are a little to slippery on the track for me.

I just had PP 2's put on this week. I have about 600 miles on them now, and I LOVE them.. I went with a slightly taller tire in the rear 190/55/ZR17's as opposed to the stock size of 190/50/ZR17's.. I was told that the 55's would let you lean better in a turn as they are a little more peakier than the 50's, and you can lean farther before getting to the edge of the tire. I put that statement to the test as soon as the tires were installed, and I will say that without a doubt, the bike will lean easier and farther with the 55's.. As for wear, they seem to be holding up very well so far, but with only 600 miles it is still a little to early for me to be able tell...

As far as I am concerned now though, I will definitely stick with these tires even if they don't last long. I like them that much...

I never liked the Pilot Powers (but I run the Power Race PRC and absolutely love those. Track only and with tire warmers that is). The 2CT is supposed to be a step up from the normal PP's. I've run Dunlop Qualifiers before and IMHO, a MUCH better tire at a MUCH better price. I did 4 1/2 trackdays with them (the 1/2 ended up being a lowside crash after the Dunlop front went out from under me, causing a tuck).

I've only heard mixed reactions about the 2CT's. Although the track vendor sells them, I don't see many trackday riders using them. I'm sure, on the street, they're pretty awesome. But if you decide to do some aggressive canyon riding, there are better tires out there.

I have a few thousand on mine and they are great, thet turn real good .Have ran top end and dragraced with them plus just ridingthey seam to work good all around.

I just replaced my 2CT rear 4337 miles to cord w/ no burnouts. They are great tires for the corners, heat up quickly, & I have never had them slip. I got 5K out of my last 2 regular PP rears. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

If I get 4500-5000 out of a set of Michelin, I'm more then happy with that.

Now here is a man that understands tires! I do agree, IMO Dunlop Qualifiers are leaps and bounds above PP's. I did give the PP's an honest shot, but after two weeks and one track day, I disliked them so much I replaced them and gave the PP's to a friend who put them on his GSXR1K.

Anyone who has doubts about the Qualifier, I challenge you to attend one of Jason Pridmore's School days and take a two up venture around the track with Jason at the helm on a bone stock GSXR1000 shod with Q's. After dragging you knee on the deck from the buddy seat, those of you who think your michelin PP's are the best street tire money will buy, just may come away with a different point of view?

Not sure about the Dunlop Qualifiers, never put them on, BUt I had Dunlop 207's and 208,s and HATED them, Would get on the throttle hard out a corner and the tire would spin, I can drift the hell out of a Busa on one of those tires, NEVER had a problem with Bridgestones or Michelin's, Just my 2 cents.
