***Michelle's Reef Tank***

Totally cool ... I don't know anything about fish ... but your hobby looks complicated ... educational ... and expensive !!
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks guys...the pics don't do it justice. There's so much color in there, but when I take pics, it all gets washed out BLUE!

Still, some had asked that I post some newer pics a while back, so there you go!

We just sold our tank a few months ago~ Had an 80/high~ It was
all fresh water though~ I just don't have what it takes to keep up
with a salt water tank~ Although they do have the most beautiful
fish~ It's hard finding nice looking fish for fresh water~

Nice tank and fish

Now, if I could just figure out how to shrink myself and go diving in there...

Heya VA... YOU HAVE TO SET UP AN AQUARIUM CAM!!!!!!!!! Just stick it somewhere where you only get a good shot of the Aquarium! That would kick ass... Then you could keep an eye on your fishes while your at work too...

Just a thought darlin... That way us poor bastards that only manage to kill fish, could enjoy your badass aquarium....

Wow, Michelle! effing great! You're making me want to do fish tanks again.

(Must resist temptation! Must resist temptation! Must resist temptation! Must resist temptation! Must resist temptation! Must resist temptation! Must resist temptation! Must resist temptation! Must resist temptation! Must resist temptation!)

I used to love that stuff way back when.

I used to know why the pics would always come out with that blue, too, but now I don't recall.

Keep the pics coming. Or do the web cam as suggested!

Nice very soothing to watch em ... Salt water tank is sooooo much better than fresh. I had a couple yellow tangs and a few I caught myself like manini and hinolea but nuthin in the tank for years now. You use "instant ocean?" Looks good.

That’s very nice, how big is the tank? I would love to do that except the nomadic life of the military keeps me from it.

GJoker...I had cichlids for years...brackish water fish that are about as colorful as you can get without going to a marine tank. I never made their water very brackish; they did fine with just fresh water...

But, to be honest, the salt water setup is easier than any fresh water system I've had...downfall is that if/when something goes wrong, it can really cost a lot to save/repair/replace...

Thanks wag! Having a hard time resisting temptation, huh?

The pics are really blue because I changed to blue-tinted metal halide lighting. It just looks better, but makes every pic I take look blue...in person, the tank's full of color...

Now, go get yourself a tank!

NO PRESSURE...

You, my friend, are in the best place to get the beautiful FISH!!!

I use "Tropic Marin Sea Salt"...it's so fine, it dissolves in minutes and seems to have every trace element my tank needs. I am supposed to do weekly water changes, but ended up going most of the summer without a single water change, and the water was still in good condition...good stuff...
