Well the time came for me to get some new tires and while doing the research on the .org and talking to local Busa riders, narrowed it down to the two tires in this poll. Went to a highly recommended local shop and they quoted me $360 for the 2CT's but with luck, they were runing a huge sale on the Q2's. With the 30% off the Q2's, the total just for the tires was $370 (+ the $150 labor charge for the shop doing the work). Seriously? That's the MSRP dork. Great sale.
I think I will shop somewhere else thank you.

Buy a set of Q2's all day long on line for around $280 shipped.
Catch one of the good sales and they are around $219 or less shipped!

Buy 2 sets!

I run the 2CT's myself. I have stuck corners with cold tires and in the rain. Now I just changed out my last set. My Michelin man was gone on both sidewalls. (I know Tuff not good.) These tire stick plus I would do 100 miles round trip from home to school all the time with them. I think I had almost 5000 miles out of the set.

oh and that corner was rated at 35 and I take it at 70 cold and wet.

Sorry but I have tried the Dunlops.

and my new set of 2CT's was only $220 plus $30 to install

For what you describe a Q2 Front/Roadsmart Rear, or a BT016 Front/BT 023 Rear would be a great choice. I'm going to bet that the Dunlops will consistently be the cheaper tire (and made in the USA btw) when you are out shopping. I'm gonna put a Roadsmart Rear on when this Q2 Rear wears out (haven't heard about the Sportsmarts yet). Most important think, is they WILL grip.

Was reading tests on the Sportsmart - many say it will replace the Q2, and that it wears 40% better than an 016...

love my Q2's and will probably pick up another set. i can't vouch for the 2CT's since i have never used them

I ran the michelien power pure 2ct's before i switched to the Q2's..

I never had any prolems with the PP's but i am loving the Q2's...

I think either tire will serve you well honestly... Though the Q2's are going to wear faster that much i can tell already...

Pirelli diablo rosso corsa is the stickiest tire i ever ran on my busa.i ride the twistes hard and i have leaned her to the edge on the throttle hard.the tires have about 5000miles on them the rear tire is a little thin in the middle and the sides still have some meat on them.im expecting the rear to go about 7500 mi the front still looks good.might not have to replace it till i chew up another rear.

Wake up,,,,,,,,Wake up,,,,,,,,,,,,, you are mumbling in your sleep. You've been spending way to much time with your busa as it's dominating your dreams!

I know you are dreaming because no tire in existance will stick when 150 ponies is applied to the rear while that fat heifer is over on it's lips. How do I know you ask? Because you have no broken bones!

I love my Michelins 2CT's:bowdown: They allow me to get an avg of 4200 miles with my heavy wrist and no problem grinding pegs with confidence!

I have used the 2cts in the past and loved them. They last a long time and they held the road very well. I switched to the power pures this year on my 08 and so far I love them but only have about 1k miles on them. I think the best way to tell is for folks to post up pics of their current tire and see where the chicken strips are. Then you can judge the opinions given by looking at their tire use and wear. just my opinion.
