I'm gettin' around 33mph with high octane fuel.
I'll take off with a full tank of gas and say to myself " Self-- I'm gonna be mellow, obey all speed limits and chill out for the next 5 gallons." RIGHT!

I love this scoot in the upper rpm's.
To many damn straight aways on I-10 headin' into Mississippi. 130 mph is a great cruise speed for a red&black Busa.
I just can't take a curve with out being between 6k - 10k rpm.
Oh well, a 16 oz. bottle of water is $1.00 --- a gallon of gas $2.09. It's cheaper to burn fuel than to drink water

(300Busa @ Jan. 18 2007,10:05) Your gas mileage will greatly improve once the bike is broke in and you change the oil.  I only get about 35 mpg, but I ride hard.  I have seen it maxed out at 50 mpg before, but it only last until you go wide open one time.

Glad to hear that. I wasn't by-passing many gas stations. Got her broken in had her serviced. Now I'm waiting for the weather to break.

I get 30 to 42 depending on how I ride. Your still breaking her in so you should see better mpg after your first service. New bikes are filled with break in oil. Very thick!

I get about 38 city and 47 or 48 hyway assuming i am riding it obeying all traffic laws and blah blah blah....I use 87 octane cause thats what it calls for. thats way the engine is designed to use. I dont remember if I got less during my break in or not but I would not be suprised if it was less during break in. After all the parts arent all meshed together just yet. I would just keep an eye on it. If it does not improve in the next 1k or so I would get it looked at. Oh and welcome!
