I had mine on my windscreen for the last 5 years. Have a new puig and don't want to put the new sticker on it. Any suggestions?

Make a little metal plate...just big enough to place the DOD decal on. Remove front/left reflector from forks. Place it there. PM me and I'll send some pics tomorrow from work.

I have my on my left upper inner fairing. The black part that is just under the clutch lever.

If you need a pic I can provide it.

I have the base sticker there, and I have an arm band with an ID holder I wear on my left bicep, when I drive up I am in neutral, I point to the ID on my arm then point to the base sticker locaiton, I am through the gate faster than most cars.

+1 about the armband for the ID card......

Thought about the metal plate. I don't know anyone here in sheet metal to make one for me. I'm not sure if they allow that here. I will find out though.

Thought about the panels also. How long have you had yours there?

About 2 years now. Put them on when I first got the Busa. No problems.. I did not want them on the fairing, and I did not want them on the windscreen, I wanted them to be as unobtrusive as possible and that was the only place I could think of.

like the idea of the plate there, my buddy has his under 2 fairing bolts, not liking that much

i use the arm band and it works great, or ill wedge it between my cheek and helmet.

Here is a pic of mine.  I put it a bracket, and installed the bracket under the left outer pinch bolt.  Works like a champ.  I don't put my sticker on the inners cause it could mess up the paint taking it off. If you put yours there, you have to change if you want to get your inners painted.
Anyway, here ya go:

Dude a plate is so simple......if you can't get one, drop me a PM and I'll make you one in about 5 minutes......let me know.

I havent so much worried about paint coming off, but I have been thinking about puttin a stereo on the Busa and the speakers would go on the Inners, like Thinker62's Busa.

So that has kind of hindered my puting a stereo system on the bike.

I'm thinking I will put it on the black plastic under the clutch handle, then I use the arm band for my ID, they don't look for stickers too close here especially if you pull in quickly and get your front wheel past the guard and immediatly flash the arm band. I have my 45 day pass under my ID just in case they ask for it though. I thought about doing the plate with one of the reflector bolts, but I never cared for how those look.

My problem with the plate (and thank you to the couple of people who offered to make me one, apprecieate the offer
biggrin.gif
)

But at my base, it seems as though evertime I renew a sticker, they chage the fricken size of the stickers, I have (if I remember right) four stickers. I wont mention what each are for, but they all have to be placed together to make a fricken puzzle square and every year or so they seem to change stickers (I guess whoever the current company is that makes them at that time gets a little room when it comes to sizing.)

So if I got a bracket and mounted it, chance are the bracket (for my base and where I am at) would be good for the time of the tags, and then I would probably have to make a new bracket).

If there is a Sheet Metal shop on base, there is likly a guy in there that rides and will make you a bracket for a soda. I used to make them (and more) in the shops I worked in before I retired in May. We made fair parts (fiberglass, kevlar, and carbon fiber), bar ends, custom brackets for radar detectors, radios, and camera's, and all sorts of goodies.

So... Find the AIRFRAMES sheet metal guys, they'll hook you up.

The blue and red stickers look the same, but for date and year, we have two totally seperate stickers, the year is required to be on one side of the red and blue and the month is required to be on the otherside.

weird, we just have the blue/white dod sticker, the date sticker and the blue one underneath with the base name on it *shrugs*, weird how you have 4.
