Mobil 1 Inside Info

Yep---I agree, Golden Spectro has been used in my last 8 bikes and my busa has a quite motor and is really strong. I have always been impressed with this oil. I used it from day one, as always.

DON if you what some TORCO let me know, and I'll try to send you some.I have 24000 miles on my 96 GSXR 750,and 1200 of them are race miles, and the bike runs as good as new.Matter of fact in 3 weeks I'll be racing at Daytona.

I work for a major Canadian Brewery and can attest to Brand Marketing, even though many think they can tell the difference between two beers which came from the same vat. They sell a lower priced brand which is a regular brand with a cheaper brand label. I imagine Mobil does the same, Thanks Falconcop.

Yes Steve I would like about 4-5 oz of torco to use in my tests. I too will be in Daytona. Tell me how to find you in the pits and I will look you up.

I also need the following oils if anyone can spare 5 oz send me an email and I wll give you my shipping address. Once I test them all I will post the results.

Redline
Royal Purple
Klotz
Golden specto

I was just planning to buy belray full synthetic, been running belray semi-synthetic.

Now that this is back up and I've read more I wouldn't mind seeing more info.

I run Mobil 1 and change it regularly. Never had any oil problems. Is anyone really having or have had oil related breakdown problems?
Steve

...any one use Spectro Gold? How does it stack up? I run Mobil 1 in my cars but never thought to put it in a bike...I had heard that the tranny gears are what made "car" oil unsuitable for bikes and that synthetic oil could mess up your clutch...once again the Falcon has stirred up sum good poop...I don't think I'm gonna run out and dump Mobil 1 in my bike, but it is always a good thing to expand your options...any clutch problems, FC?

Hapo..no clutch problems at all with Mobil-1 15-50,,I actually saw a lowering of the temp once I put it in,,also took longer for the fan to kick in.

for the colder riding season I intend to put Golden-Spectro 10-40 Also a Excellent oil. used it in prior bikes. And with that oil is where I get the best shifting I ever had.

Happy oiling !!

PS- RealCop you're a bobo,,C'mon I had too LOL )))))

I used Mobil 1 15w-50w in my ST1100 for 8 years. NEVER had to adjust the valve clearances, they were always in spec. Now I use it in the 'Busa'. Used mineral oil for the first 1000km, then switched.
It's good stuff, and I never heard of any clutch slip using it.

use the motul 3100 and be done with it. i'm going to try a motul oil that said to give
4+ hp over 3100 oil.i'll let you know
