I gotta comment: the red wheels make it look like a hotwheels car.
White cars, in my experience, are a pain in the ass to keep clean.
The red interior is okay, but are you sure that you could live with it? are you sure it would be easy to sell later on down the road?
If the car you have is something you're happy with, I think I'd hold off and see what may come available down the pipe. September is a LONG way off, and you never know what will happen with demand between now and then.
Also, first model year on any car is more prone to problems than subsequent years. Waiting for an '08 might give BMW more time to work the kinks out.
I'm in the same boat, actually. I have an infiniti that I'm essentially happy with right now, but I would LOVE to get a 335 coupe. I'm waiting until the demand dies down a little bit though, because i have no interest on waiting for 6 months to have a car built.
Also, and you and i both touched on this - by the time you get your car, it's essentially going to be a "last years model" or close to it. Once production kinks get worked out, parts should come faster, and wait times will decrease.
I'm an engineer at AM General (we build the HMMWV and H2 at our facility) so believe me, i know what I'm talking about here.
